Carolyn was quite helpful.    And we liked the Black Friday deal.  We had thought about going a few years ago, but gave the idea up, until we saw the deal on Travelzoo.   My husband is quite happy since he is an antropolgist and has alwasy wanted to go.  
We are on our mid-70's.

Agent was helpful, friendly, listened to what I needed and answered all my questions.

The agent (William) was very courteous and helpful..  He was able to answer my questions and stated his availability in the future, if I should need his services.

We had a wonderful experience on our trio to Peru. We felt safe and taken care of from start to finish. Will definitely us Exoticca again on our future travels!

This company is nothing short of horrible.  Run, don't walk, away from them.

Here's the story...

On May 1st, I booked a trip for my family of 8 to Spain, and paid them over $8,000 at that time.  We were going there for Christmas, 2021.  2 weeks ago, they asked and I paid the balance of $6,000 for a total of $14,000 paid in.  Last week they sent me an e-mail, without even the courtesy of a call or an explanation, simply cancelling our trip.  After hours on the phone, they said the trip was cancelled because of flights, despite the fact that they had 6 months to book our flights and they had $8,000 of my money.

8 people have now taken off from work, bought clothes and are heartbroken.

Rather than doing the right thing and giving us a replacement trip during this time period, even though they had one available, they would not pay the difference for that trip.  That's what a good, real company would have done; NOT EXOTICCA! 

As if that wasn't bad enough, I then asked for a refund of the $14,000. Guess what they said, my credit card will be credited in 8-12 WEEKS!!!!  How dare they cancel and then hold onto such a large amount for 8-12 weeks.  Now I can't even use my money to book another trip in time because for "policy" reasons, they are holding on to it.  Unfortunately, they are in Madrid and there's absolutely nothing that I can do about it.  

And to add insult to injury, rather than giving me a cash transfer or check, they will credit my Am Ex, which will take me more months to burn off or I have to contact Am. Ex. and see what they say.  Even more wasted time! 

Furthermore, when I tried to book a replacement trip, most everything is now booked and the air fares have gone through the roof leaving me with no options. 

In other words, what started as a beautiful vacation ends up leaving me between a rock and a hard place. 

I have spent hours on the phone with them trying to come up with a solution and all they can say is that they are sorry and it's their policy.  I got the same response from 5 different people.  Even worse, the managers won't even get on the line!!!

These people are cold and callous.  They ask for your money and you pay them, cancel the next week because of their mistakes, they then sit on $14,000 and won't refund it for 8-12 weeks, even though they easily can, because they say it's their policy.  When you go to a store and return something, they issue a credit immediately, but this company won't, and they then leave you in a complete lurch.  

A fair company would never do such a thing or conduct business in this manner. 

I have and would use INDUS Travels instead.  They stand by their contract and provide a trip no matter what, as opposed to these horrible people.

Don't use them or let what happened to my terribly disappointed family, happen to you.  In summation, EXOTTICA simply doesn't care about the havoc that they have wreaked. 

Don't let this happen to your loved ones and avoid this company at all costs.  They're management are rotten human beings.
