Fly from London Heathrow to Amman. Transfer to the Dead Sea for an overnight stay.

Day 2

Morning at leisure to float on the Dead Sea. Visit Mount Nebo and Madaba. Continue to Aqaba (4 hrs) for two nights. (B)

Day 3

Morning at leisure. An optional afternoon excursion to Wadi Rum (£66) includes a 90-minute Bedouin jeep drive and dinner in a Bedouin tent with local musicians. (B)

Day 4

Optional morning excursion on the 'Yellow Submarine' (£29), a see-through semi-submersible viewing the Red Sea marine splendours and coral reserve. Travel to Petra for three nights. The Rock Camp Petra dinner. (B, D)
