GOOD NEWS - The local tour operator will no longer require a COVID-19 vaccination for travelers as of March 1, 2023.  For travelers departing before March 1, the tour operator requires that travelers aged 12 and older provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination in the form of written documentation (paper or electronic copy), in English, for all vacations. Proof of vaccination must be completed at least 14 days prior to the tour start date. *Exceptions apply to children who do not qualify for vaccination. Your journey begins with an overnight in the Spanish capital of Madrid. Then, you will visit fortified Avila and pretty Salamanca, the pearls of the Castile region, and then cross the Serra da Estrela into Portugal to reach Coimbra, a charming hillside town that overlooks the Mondego River.  Make a stop in Fatima to see its famous sanctuary then head to the incredible walled city of Obidos with its towers and bastions. Spend two nights in Lisbon and discover the explorer Henry the Navigator’s exquisite city. Travel back into Spain via the Sierra de Aracena for two overnights in Seville, a lively city on the banks of the Guadalquivir River. The city center boasts many stunning highlights, including the cathedral, Alcazar, and Plaza d’España. Admire the Andalusian landscapes on the way to Cordoba with its lovely Mezquita.  Travel across Don Quixote’s La Mancha, known for its castles and windmills, and return to Madrid for the final two nights of your vacation.
