    Following the same successful itinerary as our 'Week in Jordan' programme, this trip enables you to visit this fascinating country whilst enjoying a higher standard of accommodation. Jordan is an ideal destination for a one-week break; abounding with things to see and do, this itinerary includes the best of this magnificent country. As well as exploring the spectacular 'rose-red city' of Petra, we have time to float in the salty waters of the Dead Sea and relax by the golden beaches of the Red Sea. We will also head deep in to the incredible desert scenery of Wadi Rum to our luxury camp. Today is a long driving day down the King's Highway which transports us up and down huge wadis. There are several stops of interest en route including Madaba, known as the city of the mosaics, Mt Nebo and Kerak, which is a magnificent fortified town. Meals included:

Dinner: All breakfasts are included, as is an evening meal in Wadi Rum. No other meals are included. Whilst staying in hotels we usually eat in local restaurants and on some occasions the leader will take those who wish to a restaurant for a 'mezze' style meal. These allow fast service with a variety of good quality food for the group and usually cost JOD10-15 pp. Allow about GBP200-GBP250 to cover these meals. If you are vegetarian, please note that main meals are limited in choice; however, mezze is almost always available in restaurants and is a good, filling choice. There is also a good choice of seafood available when at the Red Sea.
