Greece in 1 Week - mainland
If you have just a week to spend in Greece, you’ll need to decide whether you want to spend it mostly on the mainland or mostly on the islands (Greece has more than a thousand of them).
The good news is that if you’re mostly on the mainland, you can still tour one or more nearby islands. And if you’re focusing more on an islands tour, you can still see some of Athens, where most international air travelers arrive.
Day 1-2, Athens: Acropolis complex, including Temple of Athena Nike, Propylea, and the Parthenon. Enjoy an afternoon wandering through the relaxed city of Plaka.
Day 3, Nafplion: Visit this seaport town, the original Greek capital.
Day 4-5, Olympia: Temple of Vasses, the Peloponnese, Olympia ancient temple complex.
