Classic North America Itineraries
Ten days in Canada will not be enough time to see all of Canada’s highlights, but it will be adequate for exploring one region or province. Travelers may choose between staying on-the-go or focusing on one area to explore.
This example itinerary focuses on the western provinces of Alberta and British Columbia.
Day 1-2, Calgary: Calgary is a major metropolitan city filled with museums, restaurants, and exciting attractions. Go shopping, attend a festival, or have a picnic in one of the city’s many parks.
Day 3-4, Banff National Park: Drive to scenic Banff for hiking in the summer or skiing in the winter. See wildlife, visit the hot springs, and take in the beauty of the Canadian Rockies.
Day 5, Lake Louise: Be sure to set aside a full day to explore beautiful Lake Louise. The lake is Instagram-famous for its clear, turquoise waters. Pack a lunch and spend a day out on kayaks in the lake.
Day 6-7, Whistler: Whistler is one of the world’s top ski destinations and a favorite vacation spot for people all around the world. The town of Whistler is filled with bars, shops, and restaurants to cozy up in after a day of skiing or hiking.
Day 8-9, Vancouver: Experience the art and music scene of bustling Vancouver. Visit the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge or go on a whale-watching tour to see humpback whales and orcas.
Day 10, Victoria: A short ferry ride from Vancouver, Victoria is the capital of British Columbia. The Butchart Gardens are among the world’s top gardens and well worth a visit. Other attractions include the Royal BC Museum and Hatley Castle.

Despite the size and multitude of tourist destinations in the United States, seeing the major highlights in three weeks is achievable with an active tour group. Some tour operators offer coast-to-coast tours across the country, allowing travelers to experience many regions of the United States.
Day 1-2, San Francisco: See the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, shop in Union Square, and catch a Giant’s game in the City by the Bay.
Day 3-4, Yosemite National Park: Hike and take in the stunning views of Yosemite National Park. Adventurous travelers may choose to camp overnight or take on the all-day hike up Half Dome (reservations required).
Day 5-7, Los Angeles: Spot celebrities and hang out on the beach in sunny Los Angeles. Visit the Griffith Observatory at night for star-gazing and a view of the city lights below.
Day 8-9, Las Vegas: Experience the world-famous nightlife of Las Vegas, or visit the Hoover Dam or Lake Mead for more scenic views.
Day 10, Grand Canyon: Watch the sun setting over the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Hike in the gorge or simply enjoy the view.
Day 11-12, Albuquerque: Admire the Spanish colonial architecture and taste the flavorful cuisine of New Mexico’s largest city.
Day 13-14, St. Louis: See the trademark arches and sip a craft beer at one of St. Louis’ historic breweries.
Day 15-17, Chicago: See the city from the SkyDeck at Willis Tower, tour Wrigley Field, and stroll along the lakefront in the Windy City.
Day 18-19, Washington, D.C.: Tour the nation’s capitol on foot-- you can visit one of the city’s world-class museums, see the White House, or shop in Georgetown.
Day 20-21, New York City: Times Square, Central Park, and the Statue of Liberty are just a few of the many attractions that NYC has to offer.

Mexico is a country filled with culture and history. Many tourists never leave their resorts and miss out on all of the cities, beaches, and landmarks that Mexico has to offer. A 10-day tour in Mexico will give you enough time to enjoy the beaches while learning about Mexican culture.

Day 9-10, Playa del Carmen: Finish out your trip enjoying the white sandy beaches and turquoise waters of Playa del Carmen.
