For an immersive introduction to Norway, take a guided tour roundtrip from Oslo, visiting the Olympic site of Lillehammer, traveling by train through stunning countryside, cruising on the world-famous Hurtigruten postal steam and enjoying free time in Norway’s biggest cities, Oslo and Bergen.
Day 1, Oslo: Start your Norway guided tour off in the Norwegian capital of Olso, taking time to visit the Viking Ship Museum and Munch Museum. Get a glimpse of the natural beauty to come as you gaze out over the Oslo Fjord.
Day 2, Lillehammer: Venture out with your private driver and Norway guide for a day reliving the 1994 Winter Olympics. Check out the ice-skating rink in the shape of a turned-over Viking ship, the Maihaugen Open Air Museum, the Olympic Museum and the Olympic Arena.
Day 3, Trondheim: Ride the Dovre Railway through the Gudbrandsdal Valley and across Dovre Mountain to Trondheim. Visit the Nidaros Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Kristiansten Fortress, Monk’s Island and the charming wooden buildings of Bakklandet along the Nid River.
Day 4, Cruise the Norwegian Coastline: Take a famous Hurtigruten cruise along one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world, from Trondheim to Bergen.
Day 5, Bergen: Explore Norway’s second largest city, Bergen, with its Hanseatic Bryggen Harbor, a World Heritage Site, the Fløibanen funicular railways, the fish and flower market.
Day 6, Bergen-Oslo: Return to Oslo by scenic rail journey, passing through the outstanding natural beauty that surrounds Bergen - in fact, Bergen is the world’s only city to be surrounded by seven mountains and seven fjords.

Day 1, Tromsø: Embark your cruise from Tromsø, the “Gateway to the Arctic”, after exploring this wonderful towns historic wooden houses and arctic cathedral.
Day 2, Hansnes: Explore the village of Hansnes and take a challenging hike to see amazing views of the fjords and get an idea of your route for the trip.
Day 3-5, Whale Watching: Stay near Tromsø around Vengsøyfjorden and Kaldfjorden and keep an eye out for whales, especially Orca and Humpback whales.
Day 6, Mount Hillesøya: For an opportunity to see the Northern Lights, check out Mount Hillesøya. Be sure to keep an eye on the Aurora Forecast!
Day 7, Tromsø: Return to Tromsø for a delicious Scandinavian meal before heading home.
Alternative option
After starting in Tromsø, you could head to the Lofoten archipelago for another spectacular fjord experience.
Lofoten features “Trollfjord” where it is easy to imagine mountain trolls and other mythical creatures living just out of site.
You will also visit Trondheim, home to Nidaros Cathedral and the Sverresborg Folk Museum.

Day 1, Oslo: Arrive into Oslo for day one of your Norwegian trekking tour. Have a hearty meal of Norwegian specialties in anticipation of the hiking you’ll be doing in the coming days!
Day 2, Oslo-Finse: Board the train bound for Finse, where your Norway hiking guide will accompany you on walks underneath the amazing Hardangerjøkullen glacier.
Day 3, Geiterygghytta: Lace up your hiking boots and strike out on another Norway trekking adventure, this time walking north over Klemsbu to Geiterygghytta. Enjoy a picnic lunch as you breathe in the fresh alpine air.
Day 4, Hike to Østerbø: After a hearty breakfast, pack your own lunch from the breakfast buffet start off on a seven-hour trek to Steinbergdalen and on to Østerbø.
Day 5, Østerb -Vassbygdi-Flåm: Take the last spectacular hike of your Norway tour, this time through the Aurland valley down to Vassbygi, passing old settlements dating back to 1850. On arrival catch the local bus from Vassbygdi to Flåm (departs afternoons during summer – timing to be advised - bus ticket paid locally). Dinner and overnight in Flåm.
Day 6, Nærøyfjord RIB safari & Bergen: Embark on a fjord safari by RIB boat through the narrow Nærøyfjord. Then return to Bergen via the Sognefjord by express boat. Flåm to Bergen via the Sognefjord – Norway´s longest fjord. Overnight Bergen.
