Definitely worth traveling with Adventure Tours! Very satisfying and fun guides. There are a lot of flies and bugs in red centre, so my recommendation to new travellers would be to buy a fly net before hand. You will not regret it. Depending on what time of year you might travel, bring a jacket in case it gets cold the night you sleep in swags. We were all surprised by the weather we had our first night in the swag and most of us did not get to sleep due to the cold. Also, the three litres of water for the red centre walks is not a joke. It will get very, very hot in there. But man it is stunning views - worth the walks!

Our visit to Melbourne and Sydney went very well but we were extremely lucky that we were able to do anything in Cairns during the height of their rainy season. The train ride and Skyrail were great. The reef experience was a disappointment. the sea was rough and many of the guest, including me got sea sick. The meal was mediocre. The meal and snorkeling were a free for all with too many people trying get food, find a place to sit, to use the equipment and have space to get in the water. There were not enough life jackets or space to sit and put on flippers.
The bus drivers were professional and very good. Our tour director Nellie was Awesome!

Contrasts of Australia

We chose this itinerary because it gave us the opportunity to get out of the cities and experience the wilderness and Great Barrier Reef of Cairns.  We knew January was a risk because it was the rainy season and it did rain!  Luckily our guide was able to juggle our itinerary because the weather prevented our normal schedule.  Not sure I would advise others to do this trip at this time of year.  I would also change Melbourne and add a day to choose The Great Ocean Road or Penguin encounter. (Penguins were offered the night before leaving for Cairns but those people had very little sleep).  We did these excursions with other tour operators a couple of days before joining Trafalgar.  In Sydney, we skipped the Secret Lavender Garden.  There are so many other things to see and do!  We appreciated that all the hotels were centrally located for walking.  Please continue to emphasize mobility on your trips.  You are constantly on the move with different destinations, uneven surfaces, different modes of transportation (boats, trains, planes, walking tours, buses) and these trips are not meant for everyone.

The itinerary for the short trip was great.  I felt it showed off the best parts of the three cities we visited.  The hotels were centrally located.  The tour guide was FANTASTIC!  The amount of the single supplement was shocking though.

The itinerary hit everything that we wanted to see in Australia. However, people need to be aware that there are many early mornings, and a lot of traveling. The excursions were great. We did have problems with some of the planes which was unfortunate and kept us from being in the spot that we wanted to be at longer and the weather also didn’t cooperate at times, but there’s not much you can do about either one. The people that we were with were very friendly and we had a great time. our leader, *Personal information removed by Feefo* was very knowledgeable and handled any problems we encountered.

Australian Highlights

The itinerary was extensive and exhausting with many 5:30 or 6 am days. But it was fabulous to see so many different parts of Australia and I am really glad we did even with the occasional hiccup along the way. 
Christin Neiderle was a superb guide, clear and great at reminding us of the schedule and never got ruffled or showed stress despite a few mishaps with clients. She was humourous, kind, and very knowledgable. She has set the bar high for future toura.

Good trip and accommodations.  *Personal information removed by Feefo* was great and deserves a raise.  Itinerary was good but was not a fan of long bus rides.
