This is an amazing trip. There is a lot of traveling but it is very much worth it, to get the opportunity to see the very best of Alaska. The scenery is spectacular, especially in early September as the colours were changing. We saw a great variety of wildlife and had some fantastic experiences such as sea kayaking and trekking across a glacier. The additional activities are expensive but definitely worth it, and if you can afford it don't miss out. As Alaska is relatively remote, we found the cost of meals expensive too, compared to the UK. Take bug spray, thermals, binoculars and a sense of adventure.

Alaska was an amazing experience and was one of the loveliest places we have seen so far. It was made all the better by our fellow travellers and our guide. Travelling around in the van although tiring at times was the best way to see the country. We highly recommend the glacier hike and the flight over the glaciers. When they say beware of the bears they are not joking , but what an experience

Previous to this tour we had a 17 day tour with APT and It was far superior to AAT Kings. AAT Kings should learn from this tour operator.

- There was no daily itinerary provided so until we were on the coach we were not informed of stops/time at stops. 
- There was no porterage except for one hotel.
- We had to waste our holiday time picking up joining passengers from the airport. This was not available to us when we started the tour. Why did it take a coach to pick up passengers why could they have not arranged a taxi.
- Our room in the Quality Inn Rockhampton was infested with bugs and we were accused of leaving food outside our room door which attracted them. We dined in the hotel that night, we did not buy any take away food and if we did we would never have left it outside of a hotel room we would have put any left overs in the bin.  It was a complete lie, we left the room at 6.00am and there was no food outside the room, when we mentioned that to our tour guide she said it was seen at 5.00am. Furthermore other guests had bugs in the carpets of their room. We were very disappointed that the tour guide believed the hotel over us. We were also told by our guide not to go out in Rockhampton at night as it could be dangerous…why are AAT Kings including this town in their itinerary ?
- The tour guide was disorganised and confusing
- The driver was excellent
- There is too much driving and not enough stops with this 12 day tour, it is too exhausting.

Great trip, enjoyed it all, wonderful tour director and coach driver, kept us safe from cyclone Alfred, great and varied scenery and experiences

Excellent tour, covered a range of varying locations from Surfers Paradise to k-gari at the other end of the spectrum. Can't fault anything. The tour leader, Delma was excellent &amp; the driver was too.
