What to Look For in Belize Tour Reviews
Most trip reviews tend to focus on some or all of these 5 key areas, not all of which may be relevant to you: the tour guide, travel company, service level, country or countries traveled in, and the trip itinerary.
Remember, just because you see a 1 star review doesn’t necessarily mean that person disliked the country.
Belize tour reviews are almost entirely positive, 4 and 5 star ratings. Many reviewers of Belize tours highlight the nice blend of outdoor active travel, such as snorkeling, and historical sites - namely the many Mayan pyramids to be found in Central America.
However, negative reviews for Belize do state that visits to the Mayan ruins seemed overdone. Depending on your interest level in visiting ancient ruins, you may or may not agree - but the fact is that there are a lot of Mayan ruins, and this is a major tour highlight in Belize.
Top rated Belize tours are well rounded. Most include several cultural activities on the itinerary as well as take advantage of the temperate climate for a lot of outdoorsy fun - available for a variety of age ranges.
Belize is a destination for outdoor travel, particularly ocean sports like surfing and snorkeling. If being out on the water is not your cup of tea, it could sour your tour experience in Belize. Bear this in mind when reading reviews!
