Our Story

MJ Safaris Uganda was founded by a youthful Mwere James in 2008.

The Meaning Behind MJ:

MJ is an abbreviation that was generated by one of our founders and it refers to the Misty Jungles of Africa! We adopted the name from the ancient misty jungles of the renowned national parks of Africa i.e Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and the Virunga Forests.  Originally most of our tours were expeditions into these jungles though we have today expanded our operations into the rest of East Africa.
