"BUYER BEWARE!!! This company has a policy that if THEY cancel your trip…THEY get to keep your money and you get a credit the company. They cancelled my first trip..found out the hard way about their policy. Booked a trip…then had left over money so booked another…which they cancelled…again. Surprisingly…this time they offered a refund, but only gave me back the money I had put down…not what was left of “my credit”. So now I am forced to do business with a company I no longer wish to, that picks and chooses when to follow their own policy!! There are plenty of other travel agencies with similar tours…don’t give these guys your hard earned money for them to keep."

We enjoyed every day, hotels, food and especially the guides, Ayumi especially. The itinerary was first class and we even managed to travel between towns on our own. Tickets, routes, and guidelines were clear and easy to follow. The only time we got lost was trying to get out of Tokyo station. Once again, thanks."

"David was a fantastic trekking guide. Very knowledgeable of the trails & history of the area, considerate, great at managing group dynamics, organized, and thoughtful. David made the week worthy of traveling from the U.S. I can not recommend him highly enough! Explore was great in organizing most things. There were a few things I'd recommend...that Explore move the packing list items to the final documents (instead of digging through beginning documents and it was difficult to find) and giving the leader our insurance information so we didn't have to dig that up on the trip. All in all, a fantastic adventure and met great people on the trek. Thank you!"
