"Our most recent trip with Hidden Places, the La Rioja Bicycle tour, has only confirmed our high regard for the quality and attention to detail that make their trips beyond parallel. Starting in Pamplona, we enjoyed seven days of riding through gorgeous, verdant green countryside, through lovely historic hilltop villages, through wildflowers, vineyards, fields of wheat and oats, and alongside many pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. We toured an underground winery in Laguardia, a monastery dating to the 11th century, the Frank Gehry designed winery in Elciego and the most amazing wine museum, Vizcano, with a world class collection of everything wine! Our lodgings, always beautiful and a welcome sight after a day’s ride, varied from a repurposed flour mill to historic convents. And the food . . . beyond description, always fresh, always beautifully presented, and always nearly too much ☺ The trip was more than we ever could have imagined, the hallmark of Hidden Places Travel. It would be remiss not to mention the best part of it all, our guides Lukas and Laura who took great care of us, made us laugh, taught me more wildflowers and kept us all going and enjoying. Again, Dag and Maria always get the best! Thank you!"

"Overall very good experience. Reservations were made and places were as advertised. There was a daily itinerary with more than you could do every day, so it was up to you to pick and chose, depending on your inclination and interests. This is not a "guided tour" where you just show up and all decisions are made for you, but an "interactive" vacation. It allowed us the flexibility to change the type of activities depending on the weather or if a certain type of activity was not turn out to our liking. An overall great way to see Iceland."

"Everything about Olde Ipswich gets high marks, including helpful, personal attention prior to selection of the trip, and successful efforts to accommodate personal needs during the trip. The small group size in the Dordogne trip (7) worked well. The itinerary was creative and thoughtful, providing interesting locations and activities, always with a personal and local touch. "I had to write this review when I saw the only review on here was so mediocre. We went earlier this year on an art tour of Florence. It was excellent, from booking to getting off the plane back in England. The hq staff, the tour guide and the expert were knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The tour was brilliantly designed so we saw a great deal in a city of masterpieces, but never felt overwhelmed. The hotel was excellent. The meals were very good. It is expensive, but taking into account the quality of the hotel and the expertise of both the Martin Randall staff and the art historian it really is good value. The whole trip was good fun, enlightening and ran like clockwork. Nobody needs to go on a luxury tour accompanied by an academic - you could stay in a youth hostel and read a tour guide and see the same sights for a tenth of the price. But if you have the inclination and means then Martin Randall is an excellent choice. We have since booked another tour for next year, and I have my sights on two more."

"They are just great!!! They have a no-nonsense ambience. The Dormitory is adequate, very clean and comfortable. The food was very tasty, homely and had a good variety. The activities catered to our satisfaction. They are provided with lots of patience. Every staff member is so friendly and they ensure that you enjoy the outing. We were a family with people from all are groups. They took care of every individual needs. Our aged mother was made very comfortable, and they arranged a chair for her at every activity area. We spent almost two days and one night. And we enjoyed every moment. If one is looking for a good outing, this is the place. Total value for money. Above all it's the passion of the staff that makes them better than most places around Bangalore."

"I was very excited to support a Canadian company, but unfortunately, this trip was anything but blissful. The tour guide was unprofessional, incompetent, and inappropriate. He was reported in the middle of the trip because of how vulgar he was being with the girls on the tour. Guided tours are supposed to be a haven for young, solo travelers and, unfortunately, this tour was the nightmarish opposite. If you plan on booking a trip with this company, please dig into who your guide will be, how many trips they have done, and what kind of reviews they have had. Additionally, the accommodations, activities, and transportation included in this trip cost a sliver of what I paid. I completely understand the additional cost of paying the full-time guides, and the price of convenience that comes from a trip being planned for you, but unfortunately, I did not get my money’s worth with LBW. Following my friends and my dissatisfaction with the tour and the inappropriate guide, LBW’s customer support team was unfortunately slow to respond, disorganized, and inconsistent with their suggested solutions. Please, save your money, and book with another company."

"We had a wonderful holiday thanks to Gianni who organised a private tour of the Le Marche region for my husband and I. Arriving in Ascoli Piceno from Rome we relaxed into our 16c Hotel Palazzo with beautiful frescoes and a historic court yard, setting the scene for the historical sights and unique experiences ahead. Riccardo was our local guide, friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about his region. We travelled with ease to Pesaro, Urbino, San Marino, San Leo, Gradara sampling local produce and wines along the way. Travelling this way enabled spontaneity (we turned left, had a beautiful lunch in a country restaurant with a cellar that was built into a cave just below Mussolini’s hotel room!) and in each city Riccardo knew to inform my husband of the local caffe corretto inc., caffe Meletti, Moretta Fanese, Completo etc., We really enjoyed every day and evening - thank you !"
