"The variation in the scenery from La Brigue to Menton was spectacular, especially as we took it day by day and could see the gradual difference as we descended through the Maritime Alps. Our favorite towns were St. Agnes and Menton. We did our one-week tour in June, with super weather both in the Alps and down on the coast. "After Sagres rejected our requests to postpone our family trip of 13 to Madeira during the Omicron COVID outbreak and dispelled concerns about our safety on the trip, Sagres representatives, who were purportedly acting as the tour's feet-on-the-ground in Madeira, did not make the trip, and we had virtually no assistance after we tested positive for COVID after our arrival in Madeira. Besides not being able to enjoy the pre-paid trip due to quarantine requirements, my family incurred additional costs for the resulting extra hotel nights, return flights, and COVID testing. Requests to Sagres to assist with recouping these costs from the airlines and hotel went unanswered. It by far is the worse travel experience I have had in my 60 years."
