Day 1-2, Zurich & Glacier Express: Take a walking tour through pristine Zurich, Switzerland’s capital. Ride the famed Glacier Express through some of the most picturesque countryside.

Day 3, Zermatt & St. Moritz: Take a mountain hike to a small local restaurant, Trift Hut. Admire the famous mountains and fields of wild flowers as a backdrop to your alpine hikes.

Day 4-5, Geneva: Old Town walking tour, Flower Clock, views of Mont Blanc, Golden Pass route

Hiking in Switzerland in 1 Week

Whether you’re looking to tackle a 7-day thru-hike or prefer to stick to shorter trails, Switzerland is the perfect place to spend a week exploring the outdoors

Day 1, Interlaken: Explore the town of Interlaken and fuel up for tomorrow’s hike at one of the town’s world-class restaurants If you’re craving adventure, go skydiving or kayak on the lake.

Day 2, Bachalpsee Loop: This 6-mile loop offers glacial mountain views, trails covered in wildflowers, and a lake for a mid-hike swim.

Day 3, St. Moritz: Take the train to St. Moritz and hike the Muottas Muragl - Alp Languard trail. This trail provides panoramic views of the Bernina Valley. 

Day 4-5, Bad Ragaz: Bad Ragaz is popular among hikers for its trails through vineyards and into the alps. End your hikes at one of the region’s wineries.

Day 6, Werdenberg: Werdenberg is a tiny medieval town in the alps with dozens of  interconnected hiking trails.

Day 7, Geneva: Finish your trip in Geneva, which has a great shopping, art, and food scene. If you’re still craving another hike, Lake Geneva has several easy trails.

Due to the ease of rail and road transportation, two weeks in Switzerland is plenty of time to visit major sites all over the country.

Day 1-2, Geneva: Spend your first two days exploring Geneva’s art galleries, museums, cathedrals, and restaurants.

Day 3, Montreux: On the other side of Lake Geneva, the resort town of Montreux is a great place to relax, eat, and shop while enjoying the scenery.

Day 4-5, Bern: The capital city of Switzerland is filled with historic sites, from museums to cathedrals.

Day 6-9, Interlaken and Grindelwald: Interlaken is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with options to hike, paddleboard, kayak, and paraglide.

Day 10-11, Lucerne: Hike Mount Pilates and visit Rigi, one of the most famous views of Switzerland.

Day 12, Basel: Basel is a city filled with art and culture. Visit art galleries, shop, and enjoy a live music show.

Day 13-14, Zurich: Zurich is the biggest city in Switzerland, and the perfect place to end your journey visiting the Swiss National Museum and take a mountain railway for some final incredible views.
