"We did the four days trip to the Ciudad Perdida with Gabriel as our guide and Luis as our translator. Both of them were very well informed and great fun to be with. On our trip, we were served excellent food and had showers and toilets in every camp. On the last three days we even had the opportunity to take a nice, cool bath in the river. In general the tour from Expotur was perfectly organized and we enjoyed our time on the trek to the lost city in the Sierra Nevada. Muchas gracias to Expotur and in special to Gabriel and Luis. "Phenomenal! Karen was awesome. We made a potato soup with an avocado rose set on cheese in the middle of the soup. Then we made a sword fish in a cream sauce and finished with a chocolate fondue dish with a variety of passion fruit and other local fruits. It was the best cooking class I have ever taken. "Our Azores trip was excellent except for a bit of rain :-); The volcano hikes were spectacular and the side trip notes were very helpful. Doing the volcano hikes was fantastic, especially being high enough to see the Atlantic Ocean to the south and the north, beautiful! We also enjoyed the beach walks and walking to town from our hotel, Santa Barbara Eco Hotel. We stayed at the Santa Barbara Eco Hotel which was excellent. The room, property, pool and spa and services were all excellent. We enjoyed meals everyday at their restaurant which where all excellent. A very relaxing and restful and comfortable hotel. The restaurant at the Santa Barbara Eco Hotel is excellent as is there sister property, The White House, were we enjoyed a spectacular sunset and dinner one night.
