Our trip was run almost flawlessly. From airport pickup in Hanoi to airport drop off in Siem Reap. I normally travel by myself and do tours quite different from this. So I had many questions and Mike Hung promptly answered them all. Any discrepancies were quickly worked out with him.
For my fiancee and her son, this was a first in a lifetime vacation and she was very nervous about many things. So it helped tremendously that drivers were there for us at the airports, we were picked up promptly each day and all of the hotels were ready for us.
All of our guides were fantastic and we enjoyed our conversations with them. And what really impressed me was the day our tour ran late due to traffic in Hanoi. We arrived at Cu Chi at about the time our tour should have been over. That conflicted with lunch which was included in our tour. GoAsia gave us the option of having our meal in Hanoi instead of a rushed lunch at Cu Chi.
Mike also met with us in Hanoi and made suggetions on options we might like. We paid for the options which afforded us a day to sleep in late in Phnom Pehn and got to experience sunrise at Angkor Wat. There was some confusion upon arrival in Siem Reap because of the changes in our itenirary that MIke quickly resolved.

This was a two part trip with the majority (10 days) spent in Vietnam and three   days spent in Cambodia. The Cambodia itinerary/trip changed my life. The tour director provided many personal experiences that we would never have had otherwise. We visited a Buddhist monastery, met with a Buddhist monk who answered questions on what his life is like and then received a blessing. We visited amazing temples that date back to the year 1200 with a knowledgeable scholar in the field. We visited farming villages and experienced how the locals live and saw a traditional Cambodian dance. The hotel was beautiful, clean and comfortable; the food was delicious. Vietnam was slightly different. Many of the included activities (water puppet show, visit to the HoChiMinh Mausoleum, enamel art, silk making) were not available. The itinerary was actually significantly different from the Trafalgar itinerary the group expected. Fortunately it was a small group (22) because the TD seemed to have difficulty keeping track of the group. We left someone in the hotel on the first day and lost someone at the Bana Hill (Golden Hands Bridge). The Vietnam War Museum and the cooking class at Red Bridge were outstanding. I do not recommend the optional activities. They are definitely  overpriced.

Vietnam and the Temples of Angkor

The Itinerary was well paced.  I did find that the Vietnam tour had a few elements of being very political and anti American.   When we were at the Cu Chi tunnels we had to watch a 20 minute pro Viet Cong anti American movie filmed in 1967 and at the farewell dinner we had to watch a 9 minute anti-american movie re the ending of the war then we sat down for our farewell dinner( I had no appetite after the movie)  I felt this was not necessary and we had no choice in the matter.  I have been on two other Trafalgar tours, one in eastern Europe, and yes we have gone to areas of where war took place and it was part of the tour but in Vietnam it was very much in the foreground and as important as this history is I would have preferred it to be handled differently.

Great mix of scheduled activities and personal time. Superb itinerary and our travel directors, Thom in Vietnam/Tara in Cambodia were top notch! Cozy accommodations and excellent food. Loved this trip!

Itinerary was very good. It included experiencing scenic Vietnam and tasting local foods. Learned history of Vietnam and Cambodia. It included sightseeing of Angkor temples that are UNESCO sights.

*Personal information removed by Feefo* was the best tour director ever in Vietnam this is our six trip with trafalgar. He took exceptional care for us. Was extremely knowledgeable and informative.

In Cambodia our guide new all thing but had to propped for information. His English was poor and hard to understand. Way too many group photos, almost every site.
