I booked Samson’s Safaris as a driver for my family’s first and last day in Nairobi. What I got was so much more. A friendly staff, knowledgeable guide, and a sense of safety and security. Thank you Samson's Safaris for arranging a wonderful family vacation to Amboseli, Mombasa and Samburu. We were quite a large group requiring lots of coordination but Samson's Safaris were up to the task. They were patient with all our scheduling and rescheduling issues and made sure everyone was happy. The service was excellent - courteous, punctual and professional. They were good drivers and we especially enjoyed the game drives when every effort was made to make sure we got to see the big five. Thanks Samson's Safari's - looking forward to going to the Masai Mara next time around!

We returned from a week long trip on safari in Kenya. Working with Peter, Sarah and Zeena made our trip extra special! They are all extremely knowledgeable, personable and helpful with everything possible. They truly wanted to make us safe, comfortable and excited and they went out of their way to do so! They were always available to answer questions, they planned a perfect trip for us! We could not be more happy with the service provided from beginning to end! We highly recommend Ker &amp; Downey Africa!

9 Day Classic Kenya Safari

What a wonderful experience of a lifetime! Ker &amp; Downey OUTDID themselves. I ALWAYS felt safe and in great hands by being in touch with a professional caring group of people. The lodgings at each camp were welcoming with loving, joyful staff and ALL of our needs (if any) were attended to in haste. We lived in luxury!!!! A hot water bottle at our feet every night!!! Food was excellent! As I am a picky eater ALL of the chefs were sooo accommodating I just loved them! As for our guides and seeing beautiful Kenya landscape and wildlife.....couldn't have asked for more. We saw ALL the animals we could ever have hoped for....each guide said HOW LUCKY WE WERE and I totally agree! I would go back in a heartbeat and HIGHLY recommend Ker &amp; Downey Africa to anyone!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our trip to Kenya was. We worked through Ker &amp; Downey. From the very beginning, Ker &amp; Downey Africa designed a wonderful itinerary and their attention to detail was impeccable. We had to delay our trip because of COVID but once Kenya opened for tourism, we were there. Sarah and her team arranged a way for us to be in touch with them the entire trip which was very comforting… There were a lot of moving parts and there was not one hitch. Those in the tourist industry have been vaccinated and everywhere we went people were masked and our temperature was taken. We felt more Covid safe there than we did in the US! … It was definitely the trip of a lifetime – I can’t thank those at Ker &amp; Downey Africa enough!

We chose Ker &amp; Downey after extensive research on safari tour companies and they did not disappoint. From the initial contact to planning our trip and throughout our entire journey, they were fantastic. We were taken care of from the moment we stepped off the plane in Nairobi. Every detail was organized perfectly for our safari at Ol Donyo Lodge in the Chyulu Hills and at Angama Mara Lodge in the Mara Plains. Both lodges were exquisite – the staff, the rooms, the food, the setting - unbelievable! And of course, the game viewing. Not only were we fortunate to see the Big Five but we also witnessed the migration, truly magnificent! And we can’t say enough about the Masai people – words cannot capture their beauty and kindness. The highlight of our special trip was an Exchange of Vows Ceremony in celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary. To be surrounded by Masai warriors and maidens and receive blessings from the elders will forever remain in our hearts. Thank you to Angama Mara for hosting such an unforgettable event. What better way to finish off our celebration than to spend a few relaxing days in the Seychelles. Thank you to Ker &amp; Downey for organizing such a wonderful trip. We look forward to having you plan our next one – we can’t wait to be back in Africa!

I have never written a review before but after our recent trip to Africa (Kenya, Tanzania &amp; South Africa), planned for us by Ker &amp; Downey Africa, I felt compelled to write one. Ker &amp; Downey Africa was incredibly responsive and really listened to what we wanted to see and how much we wanted to spend and planned an amazing trip designed just for us. From the minute we arrived at the airport in Nairobi and were personally escorted through immigration and then handed off to our driver everything was perfectly organized and first class. Each lodge was stunning and unique with beautiful settings, rooms, food and incredibly attentive staff. The game viewing was beyond our wildest dreams and the guides were extremely knowledgeable, kind and fun. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure that our every possible need was met. We had a beautiful room on the water in Cape Town for four nights to end our African adventure. I would highly recommend Ker &amp; Downey if you are planning a trip to Africa! Thanks for the trip of a lifetime that we will never forget.

Our safari to Kenya and Tanzania was beyond our expectations. By "magical" I mean that we often couldn't believe what we were seeing and feeling. We saw The Big Five, including a black rhino. We were 3 feet away from a cheetah, the most beautiful cat I have ever seen. The terrain, the light, the silence, the night sky, gave us an otherworldly sense. Accommodations were perfect. The tented camps were comfortable, attractive and like something from a movie. The meals were exceptional as was the service. The Masai "guards" who escorted us through the camps were delightful. We had fine butlers, servers and guides everywhere. These people spoke (or tried to speak) English, catered to our every need, and were very knowledgeable about the area and its history. The itinerary developed by Ker &amp; Downey was manageable and exciting. We did not feel like we missed anything. We even fed giraffes from the windows of our first-night's lodging in Nairobi. Of great importance was our feeling of safety and security. Ker &amp; Downey and its agents made sure we got where we needed to go and took care of all the details. We would also book our trip through Ker &amp; Downey without hesitation.
