"I booked a trip using travelstride with G Adventure, 2 days before my planned travel date, I got an email from Travelstride that there was an error in the price and I have to pay an extra 370$, otherwise I can get a refund. Because it was only 2 days from my planned travel date, I couldn't argue or change my plan and I had to pay the extra money. When I met the group I was surprised to know that what I originaly paid without the extra 370$ was already 400$ more that what others had paid for the same trip. In addition to that my room mate didn't maintain any hygiene standards in the room and didn't even respond to greeting. When I told G Adventure about it, they said that I need to communicate with him and open my heart and they can't do anything about it!!!! So please don't book with them and if you happen to book with them, then please ensure that you are paying half the advertised price."

"This was one of the worst three weeks of our lives. I understand that issues arise during travel but not blatant disorganization. It completely destroyed a trip of a lifetime for us. (Egypt, Jordan,Saudi), I am only going to share a few of the things that happened. * Trip Cost: $57,000 for a 2+ week trip * Experience: One of the worst three weeks of our lives due to blatant disorganization. Key Issues: 1. Hotel Checkout: Kicked out of a Four Seasons due to an early checkout time. You could have booked an extra night to avoid this. 2. Room Mix-Up: After a nine-hour travel day to a nearby destination, arrived at Banyan Tree with two different rooms booked for a three-night stay. Resolved after 30 minutes of waiting in the lobby. 3. Flights in Egypt: Three economy flights in one day with over ten hours of travel and no edible food provided. We had many travel days that were dreadful and absolutely not vip. 4. Guide: Our guide, Issam, was rude, disrespectful, and berated a guest with Alzheimer's. 5. Helicopter Ride: Quoted $22,000+ for a two-hour ride. We found the company and arranged it ourselves for $7,500. 6. Transportation: Waited 45 minutes for a car to the airport that never showed up, had to call Uber. 7. Overall: Promised "ultra luxury" services were a disaster with economy flights, disrespectful guide, missing chauffeurs, lack of food, terrible organization, and non-VIP services. Conclusion: If you're not a luxury company, just say so. This was a disgusting rip-off beyond imaginable belief. We were stuck in the Middle East having paid all this money to these people and just rolled around in a blender. DO NOT BOOK WITH ABERCROMBIE AND KENT"

"We booked a National Geographic expedition Holland and Belgium by River. The promotional literature promised a 14-day deposit refund window. The “invoice” was marked “non-refundable” deposit. We completed the National Geographic Traveler Information. About 8 days later we received the “Travel Agreement” to be signed. We both approved and signed the National Geographic documents. A Cruise Line Travel agreement was enclosed but had no signature line. This document contained language which was unacceptable. We submitted the signed NatGeo documents. The following day we canceled the trip due to the unacceptable Cruise Line language. Cancellation was made 12 days after booking and no deposit was returned. We were told on the phone that the refund deadline was triggered by the 14 day window OR signatures on the Travel Agreement which ever came first. This was NEW information. To date, we have received NO refund of our $1000. We cancelled our trip within the advertised 14 day window."

"Wilderness Travel is the BEST company to choose for the Galapagos Islands! We went as a family of 7 and every expectation was blown out of the water. Their team in the office quickly and thoroughly answered all our questions leading up to the trip (and we had a lot), and once we arrived we felt like we had the islands entirely to ourselves! Obviously, the animals were incredible (I was able to see everything on my "wishlist"), but the trip leader is really who made this a once in a lifetime trip. Fernando was kind, patient, funny, and an encyclopedia of knowledge (of course I've forgotten 90% of what I learned already!) He would give short "presentations" at the end of most days explaining the history of the islands, the geology, evolution, Darwin, and how modern politics affect tourism (for better and worse), which added a whole other dimension to our experience.. The boat crew was also magical. We were welcomed with tea and hot snacks immediately after returning from snorkeling excursions, fresh juice and fruit after walks in the sun, and feasts every night with a shocking amount of variety in meals. We were also traveling with a young child and the staff was extremely helpful (even offered babysitting during dinner) in making our trip as easy as possible. We were on the boat "the Passion" and there was a wonderful outdoor dining table that we ate at almost every meal, giving us nearly 360-degree views of the islands as we sailed to the next destination. It's one of the nicest yachts I've been on -- multiple different areas to lounge, a big screen TV/movie area, spacious bedrooms, and there was even a HOT TUB on the top floor! We would go back again in a heartbeat!"
