When I was researching potential tours of Southeast Asia, I was looking for Thailand (Bangkok and Chiang Mai specifically) and Cambodia (Siem Reap/Angkor Wat specifically). The other destinations on this tour were just added bonuses. I am so happy that I chose this tour; it took me to places that I have never gone to -- like Luang Prabang which I had never heard of -- even though I consider myself to be a savvy traveler. I am happy that I went to Vietnam to learn about that country's perspective on history and to marvel at the beauty of Halong Bay. This particular tour offered the right mix of culture, history, escorted adventure, and individual discovery. It seemed to appeal to everyone in our group of ten travelers who ranged in age from their 20s to their 60s.

The experience we had on this trip was life changing. We learned so many things about the people and cultures in the 4 countries we visited that it gave us a new appreciation for travel. We believe that the G Adventures type of travel is the way we will experience the world instead of just traveling the world.

SE ASia is a culture shock if most of your travel has been in N.A. Or Europe. It was one new experience after another. We were not that prepared for such large cities and poverty but we adjusted. We loved getting out into the open on some of the boat and water activities. The Thai cooking class and market and family dinners in the different countries were very enjoyable. The cyclo rides will not be soon forgotten.

My first time in Southasia, loved it. Enjoyed listening to the local history. Visiting the non tourist area. See how the locals live.

The experience was memorable. Never before have I wanted to book another tour so quickly and travel again with the group. I believe this trip has created a monster a ducted to adventure travel.

This trip was unforgettable for me. It really opened my eyes to the history of these countries and the beautiful resilient people who live there. I love that the G/Nat Geo really give back to these communities and for me there is no better way to travel. The work you do with planeterra is why I wouldn't book with any other company. It's also encouraged me to take a more pro active approach in giving back. One of the highlights of my trip was taking fruit to poor children in a village outside of Siem Reap. A very eye opening experience for me. Thank you Bopha for this beautiful surprise to our itinerary, it warmed my heart. This trip really far exceeded any expectations I had. Can't wait to book my next one!
