My wife and I spent an incredible 10 days in Kenya traveling to multiple sites (Maasai Mara, Samburu, Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Lake Nakuru) on a wildlife photo safari led by Joseph. This was an amazing experience all around and as smooth as could be, from the excellent email/WhatsApp communications, being picked up at the airport, arranging for exceptional lodging and meals, bringing us back to the airport at the end of our safari, even arranging for the COVID test necessary to fly back. Each day was filled with wonderful wildlife and birds, which Joseph spotted with amazing eagle eyes! His knowledge of wildlife is exceptional, and he's a skilled and reliable driver, so we always felt safe. Incredible value for the cost, and so we highly recommend Joseph Mwangi and Natures Wonderland Safaris for your own life-changing experience!

10 Days Kenya Safari Exploration

Our trip started off with a lunch at Maya Gardens.  We went to see the poultry in their pens while waiting for lunch, thinking it was a petting zoo.  The poor birds did not have water or any indication that they ever had water.  One of the turkeys was lying on it's side looking very sick.  No one would give them water when I asked them to.  The lunch was so awful I did not eat meat for the rest of the trip. I sent a video to Angela Bailey telling her this is not what we want to see when on a conservation trip and she acted like I was lying.   Our guides were lazy and not caring about us.  They took us to overpriced markets to get fleeced by the sellers there.  At the anti-poaching farm tour, we had to walk over a bridge with wires on it, to keep wildlife in.  One of our travelers, who was 65 years old, tripped over it and had to go to the hospital.  No one warned her about the wires.  Then, trying to get off the safari trucks, she was so very very sore and no guides helped her to get out of the truck.  Completely appalling.  The guides had very poor communication skills that worked for Discover Corps.  I was forced to get vaccinated while in Kenya, because the laws changed while we were there.  I asked if I could try to get out of the airport first and if I could not then get the vaccine.  Discover Corps said "If you choose to do that, you are on your own".  The conditions of medical in Kenya is not like the US and it was awful.  The airport didn't even ask me for my vaccine card on the way out. DC could have worked with me on trying this first before forcing me to get this vaccine in a poor 3rd world country.  Also, my vaccine card had the wrong date of birth and my name did not match what is on my passport.  The doctor tried to get me to tip the nurse giving me the vaccine.  The guides dropped us off curbside at the airport and left us there to navigate.  I will NEVER use this company again.  They did not have my back on anything that happened and Angela Bailey never contacted me to follow up about my experience after this trip was over.

They took great care in choosing the most perfect accommodations for the trip to Kenya. Ol’ Pejeta was fabulous and plentiful with animals. The Sweetwater camp inside the conservancy is true glamping with 5 Star service and food. Sweetwater is located on a watering hole where you can sit and watch Elephants, Rhino, Zebra, Warthogs, birds and Giraffes come and drink. Inside the Masai Mara we stayed at Asilia again another 5 star establishment. The animal sightings in the Mara are just amazing, breakfast is provided out on the open plains of the Mara while watching zebra and wildebeest stroll by. Then happy hour with cocktails are provided on the open plains while watching the incredible African sunset (unlike anything you have ever seen). The service provided at both locations was top notch. Discover Corps chose amazing places and designed a fabulous itinerary for our days in Africa. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

The guides were fun, friendly and so knowledgable. The luxury tents were so cool; bug proof, comfy beds and hot showers! The food and fresh juices were delicious. I learned so much about wildlife and conservation efforts. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, plus English is very prominent there. Kenya is such a great place to go on safari. In addition to seeing every animal you could imagine, this trip really offers a great look into the Kenyan culture, different tribes, art, music and way of life. Loved every minute of this trip!

We returned from a week long trip on safari in Kenya. Working with Peter, Sarah and Zeena made our trip extra special! They are all extremely knowledgeable, personable and helpful with everything possible. They truly wanted to make us safe, comfortable and excited and they went out of their way to do so! They were always available to answer questions, they planned a perfect trip for us! We could not be more happy with the service provided from beginning to end! 9 Day Classic Kenya Safari

What a wonderful experience of a lifetime! Ker &amp; Downey OUTDID themselves. I ALWAYS felt safe and in great hands by being in touch with a professional caring group of people. The lodgings at each camp were welcoming with loving, joyful staff and ALL of our needs (if any) were attended to in haste. We lived in luxury!!!! A hot water bottle at our feet every night!!! Food was excellent! As I am a picky eater ALL of the chefs were sooo accommodating I just loved them! As for our guides and seeing beautiful Kenya landscape and wildlife.....couldn't have asked for more. We saw ALL the animals we could ever have hoped for....each guide said HOW LUCKY WE WERE and I totally agree! I would go back in a heartbeat and HIGHLY recommend Ker &amp; Downey Africa to anyone!
