What to Look for in Norway Reviews
Most trip reviews tend to focus on some or all of these 5 key areas, not all of which may be relevant to you: the tour guide, travel company, service level, country or countries traveled in, and the trip itinerary.
Remember, just because you see a 1 star review doesn’t necessarily mean that person disliked the country.
When it comes to active travel, Norway is a positively reviewed country - which, to be fair, is pretty easy to do when most of your coastline is considered one of the scenic wonders of the world. In terms of sheer natural beauty and availability of outdoor activities, travelers rate Norway highly.
They are satisfied with the immersion opportunities, such as visiting local villages and mingling with Norwegian people, as well as the variety of difficulty level during outdoor activities, such as kayaking or hiking. Most travelers find Norway tours to feature upscale accommodations, well-organized itineraries and expert Scandinavian guides.
Travelers should note that the weather, especially in the winter, can be even cooler than anticipated. If you are traveling during the Arctic winter, pay close attention to reviews that took place during these winter months. This is one of the best ways to learn first-hand what to pack and what the temperatures really feel like.
Remember, too, that these wintertime Norway tours are the best time to view the Northern Lights. If that is on your bucket list, you’ll want to avoid the summer months, as the midnight sun gets in the way of Aurora Borealis viewing.
