Just a very quick note and a very big Thank You for a marvelous trip! I am running out of superlatives to describe your attention to detail and flawless delivery of a wonderful trip. Our tour was wonderful and our guides were excellent! I very much look forward to doing more trips together in the future!  Just one minor note: The Royal Princess hotel in Chaing Mai is not operating up to the four star standards that it purports to represent. The hotel has marvelous location, and the lobby is beautiful, but the rooms are weathered and could use some upgrading.

A wonderful trip full of busy days that take in the history and culture of 3 
beautiful countries. The food was delicious, the accommodation was all 
superb, the Exodus guides were fantastic. Plenty to see and do for the 
adventurer that likes something slightly different
Inspirational moments would have to include the visits to see the history of 
conflicts in Vietnam and Cambodia, harrowing but a reminder to preserve world 
peace, the temple complex at Anghor Wat, the Royal Palaces in Bangkok, the 
homestay on the Mekong Delta

I really had the best time on this trip. The tour guides were amazing. So 
knowledgable and professional. Everything was perfectly organised and we 
squeezed a lot into a very short space of time.
Angkor Wat was wonderful. Our guide was from the area and spoke very 
passionately about the temples and about growing up in Cambodia.


All three were amazing. Catered to our every need and made sure we had an 
amazing time.


Be careful of the water in Cambodia!


The accommodation in Sihanoukville was disappointing. It wasn’t the one 
included on our itinerary and was of a much lower standard than the other 
hotels on the trip. It was far from the beach and the centre of town and was 
in the middle of a building site. However, I do now understand that the 
original hotel cancelled the groups booking and the team was unable to find 
another suitable place. It certainly didn’t spoil my trip but it would have 
been better if expectations were managed before we arrived at the hotel.

The Exodus team and the group leader were very understanding and 
accommodating and did everything they could to resolve the situation.

This holiday is a great way to experience 3 very different countries in South East Asia
The two days spent in Angkor - espicially sunrise over Angkor Wat.

We had three group leaders (one in each country). They were all very informative and passionate about their country. ..... And they were just like part of the group.

Really enjoyed the experience and looking forward to. Return visit.

I cannot say enough good things about this trip overall. Amazing guides, a great bunch of travel companions and some of the most beautiful sites and experiences I have ever had the pleasure of encountering.  Exodus did a great job putting the itinerary together so it was well paced and our guides added in their own unique off itinerary stops along the way which added to the experience at no extra cost and helped the local people also. And gave us bathroom breaks.  :-) Highly recommended.
Seeing Angkor Wat at sunrise is something I will cherish always and will never forget. What an incredible experience. And the visit to the Mekong Delta was unlike anything I have experienced ever.
The Killing Fields and Prison S-21 moved me to tears.  I do recommend reading First They Killed My Father either before or after. Before might prepare you a little. After you will know all of the sites and things she talks about and it all connects and makes sense in a way pre-reading won't.  I am re-reading now.

Ngoc in Vietnam and Rouz in Cambodia were fantastic and knowledgeable.  I felt that I didn't only learn about the countries I was visiting but got a real insight into their lives and families and what it was like to live in those countries and the hardships they face.  And kudos to Exodus for hiring women tour guides in Cambodia where that is something you don't see a lot there.

I do recommend tho if you have a bad back or find sleeping on thin or hard mattresses difficult that you bring an inflatable camping mattress or the like for the home stay. Other than that...the home stay was one of my favourite evenings. Best coffee of my entire life also.
Sunscreen is essential as you are out all day often in the blazing sun. Bug spray also needed.  Also despite what some websites will tell you, most of the temples in Cambodia adhere to strict dress code so you will not be allowed to do things like go to the top of Angkor if you are not appropriately dressed. That means skirts below the knee for women - no tie around your hips sarongs - and covered shoulders. Tshirts are ok. Tank tops are not.  Guys...no shorts. And we saw people turned away so it is real.  You can buy super cheap light pants for $3 in any market so do it there if you don't have the right type of clothes.
Food is cheap and delicious so you won't spend a lot per day in Vietnam or Cambodia...maybe $20=$25 per day max most days with beers. Bangkok is expensive and more like at home prices. Skydeck is worth the $20 martini for the view.

I will gladly take another Exodus tour...

An amazing holiday which superseeded all expectations, run at a reasonable pace with a well deserved beach day on day 5.&nbsp; Wonderful passionate guides who gave us lots of tips and set our expectations from the start, wonderful food, great company and the local people were so welcoming.
Killing fields and the genocide museum struck a chord with everyone.

Vietnam group leader was exceptional, set all the groups expectations and set time frames at the start of the day so we knew exactly what we would be doing which helped to consider what money to take, clothes to wear etc.&nbsp; Very knoweldgeable and massively passionate about his job.&nbsp; Asked for regular feedback throughout so he could tweak as needed.&nbsp; Crammed in loads of extras.
Cambodian guide was also wonderful, to have been through so much in life and to be able to speak such good English and also to take groups regularly to what is a massive reminder of his own families personnal tradegy is so inspiring. &nbsp; Very knowledgable, massively likeable character whose attempts to tell English jokes are hilarous.
&nbsp;I hope both guides have a job for life with Exodus. Both are a credit to the company.
Thailand guide didn't meet us at the airport and wasn't in attendance until day two so had some catching up to do.&nbsp; Likeable guy but when charging across the chaos that is Bankgok in 1 day hard to judge how good a guide he could be. 

Don't worry about tummy troubles, only a couple of the group had any form of upset tummy and then only for 1/2 a day.
Comfortable shoes a must for the temples and boat days
Don't go to any of the sexy shows in Bangkok and expect not to get ripped off.
&nbsp;Don't overpack, clothes are so cheap you&nbsp; will have regular opportunity to get clothes laundered on route for less than 1 dollar per item and loads of chances to buy clothes throughout the trip esp in Cambodia so pack minimally.&nbsp; I took enough for the whole trip but struggled to fit my new purchases in.
Take a swimming cosie - all but 1 hotels have a pool. 
Money - £400 is enough for the whole trip for eating well, buying souvenirs, tips and a to regularly have a bottle of wine and cocktails with meals.&nbsp; More if you want to buy handbags etc in Bangkok. 

Excellent trip, keen to return to Vietnam/Cambodia on another trip format.
Ideally would have prefered to start in Bangkok, most of the group weren't as keen on Bankok and it seemed strange to have such a tranquil tour and then be thrust into Bangkok at the end.
Unhappy that the return flight was via Kuala Lumpur rather than direect from Bangok costing us half a days travel.&nbsp; The late bookers were luckier than the organised early bookers.
&nbsp;Would recommend changing the itinery on the day of the killing fields - better to go to the genocide museum and killing fields 1st in the morning then onto the palace and the russian market after lunch.&nbsp; Going straight form the killing fields to run around a market for 45 minutes gigling and making fast paced purchases seemed a little disrespectful to the guide after where we had just come from. 
Would recommend this trip to anyone who is interested in Cambodia/Vietnam, pace is quite steady and not a lot of walking invovled apart from at Angor Watt.

Multi stop tour of South Vietnam, Cambodia and a short hop to Bangkok.  A mix of cities, a homestay on the Mekong Delta, a Cambodian beach resort, river trips, fabulous temples and palaces and you experience the hustle and bustle of Asia. Fabulous food, fascinating sights, wonderful people. Easy paced trip, no major physical activity. Air conditioned bus, some long road trips but with breaks roughly every 90 minutes.
Temples, Palaces, Sunsets, Markets, Food - yes, yes, yes. But, what I remember the most - our Cambodian guide made a point of stopping at small stores, road side vendors, craft shops, charity stores - each purchase supports the local economy and benefits directly the people with whom you meet and interact. That's the whole point of you travelling this way, yes?

We had three group leaders, one for each country which gave a fascinating insight into the various legs of the trip.  All of the group leaders very efficient, enthusiastic, friendly and capable.

I'll presume you're a fairly experienced traveler and know what to pack for Asia. Pack light, there are cheap laundries close to the hotels in Sihanoukville and Siem Reap to keep you going. Replacement clothes are a bargain in the markets, but buy at least +1 your usual size. Vietnam and Cambodia are happy to take US Dollars, but not so in Thailand. Take plenty of low denomination notes, or watch the staff in the shops and restaurants panic when you give them a $100 note....ATM's dispense USD in Vietnam and Cambodia and there's a currency exchange shop one block away from the hotel in Saigon. Spending money for lunch and dinner - you'll need about $30 per day, plus money for visas and the tipping kitty, so around $400 - $500 total should be enough.

Enjoy the fun and games at the Cambodia land border and take your sense of humour with you ! Try the Sky Bar in Bangkok for a last night drink. Finally, check the flight options before you go. The start point of the trip is Saigon and end point is Bangkok. Our group flight was LHR to KL to Saigon, return flight was BKK to KL to LHR. Probably some easier and more direct options to be had.
