Busabout is not your average travel company. It was 1998 when we first linked up the best cities and destinations in Europe with a commitment to the independent traveller to make their time, cash and experiences go further. By being the alternative choice we have remained dedicated to our freestyle form of travel and our unique hop-on hop-off flexible coach network.

We live to travel and as travellers ourselves know what makes an unforgettable trip. Sometimes we show you around, other times you are free to explore, either way, we hope to give you choice and plenty of local knowledge.

This passion to explore the world (without costing the Earth) has also developed over the years into our innovative Adventures, be it island hopping in Greece and Croatia, trekking through Eastern Europe or discovering the ancient cultures of Egypt and Morocco.

Our coaches

We are particularly proud of our 'Big Blue' buses. They might not be the most expensive in the world but they are by far the coolest. You may think we are a bit strange but once you've travelled around Europe with us, you will become rather fond of them too. Our modern brand new fleet are air-conditioned, have reclining seats, plenty of leg room and a secure lock-up for your bags. We even had some designer upholstery made especially - your bum has never sat on anything this cool.

The techie stuff

You don't just get choice and flexibility off the coach, you get it on-board too. If you want to hang out with your new-found travel-mates, go for it. If you want to chill and catch up writing the journal instead, you're welcome to. You can also listen to music or watch a movie. Just like on flights we have audio plugs on every seat so when we play DVD's, you can choose to watch and you don't have to be quiet if you don't! And for all you flash-packers we have power points to charge all your electronic bits 'n bobs.

Stay Connected

All our coaches offer WiFi connection. Buy access for the day, surf the net and make your family and friends super jealous with your Facebook and Twitter updates. Also, you can access My Trip to keep track of your travel plans and book your accommodation.

Travel safe

No need to worry about your gear. Today most backpackers carry loads of expensive electronic gadgets and with a semi-decent pack or case, it's no wonder you want it within arms-reach. When you are on the bus all your stuff is locked up underneath and only your driver can get to it so sit back and relax.

Travelling solo?

One of the best things about travel is the people you meet, whether from back home or other parts of the world. Busabout is perfect for people travelling on their own as you will have the opportunity to meet like-minded travellers and share experiences. Those who do start out by themselves (almost half our travellers!) very soon have a group of friends to travel with. In fact Busabout is the only travel network in Europe operated exclusively for backpackers. In hostels, we place you with fellow Busabouters when possible so you can feel more secure in your accommodation.

Your Decisions

Simple - you hop-on and hop-off our network around Europe. It's what independent travel is all about  the ability to design your own trip, go where you want and stay as long as you want. Your travel sectors can be pre-booked online or with the Guides on the buses and you are free to change your mind as often as you want (just be careful around the really busy Festivals like Oktoberfest and Pamplona!).

Personalised Attention

Travelling on Busabout means that you do the discovering while our awesome crew are there to help you make the most of your trip. Want to know about that tiny village just south of Prague or which metro line to take for the Eiffel Tower? Just ask and you'll get all the low-down you need for your own tailor-made adventure.

Local Knowledge

Our Guides and Drivers are all independent travellers who are fanatical about Europe and keen to share their knowledge and experience with you. It's not all historical sites and culture, our guys will give you their own top tips about where to party, the best little family-run restaurant in town and where to go for live music. They've been there and tried it all so have plenty of suggestions.
