Founded in 2012, Give A Day Global is an organization that helps travelers connect with a social organization in the destination they are traveling to for a day. Generally, community organizations ask for longer term commitments from volunteers, so travelers just there for a short time are not able to volunteer. Give a Day Global makes it possible by partnering with local organizations to allow travelers to volunteer for a day and give back.

Each organization must successfully pass rigorous screenings before becoming verified. Give A Day Global is free to participate in, though a suggested donation of $100 per adult and $25 per child is requested.

Give A Day Global’s mission is to connect international travelers with daylong volunteer opportunities in order to help our nonprofit partners build capacity and expand their networks of support.

We team up with reputable nonprofit organizations near tourist destinations in Africa, Asia, and the Americas to bridge travelers with projects that are accessible, meaningful, and that may inspire involvement that can continue from afar.

Who we partner with:
We carefully vet our partner organizations to assess their effectiveness, to ensure they have sound financials, and to verify their reputation for integrity and community impact.
The organizations we are looking for must meet these requirements:
Location: located near an urban hub or tourist destination.
Language: Have staff that speak English fluently for interacting with our volunteers and communicating with Give A Day Global staff.
Communications: Have reliable access to phone and internet communications.
Community Participation: Involve and empower the community they are serving.
Financial integrity: Have transparent and verifiable financial records that demonstrate fiscal responsibility.
Legal Structure: Be a registered 501c3 in the US or have a registered fiscal sponsor in the US.

Since we are a nonprofit we don’t tend to have specials or promotions. We do have a suggested donation of $100 per adult and $25 per child. 100% of the suggested donation is distributed to the selected nonprofit organization where the traveler volunteers.
