Who?

We are a socially responsible travel organisation who provides experiences that go beyond the usual volunteer travel. Our Volunteer in India and Maldives Volunteer Programs will take you on an inspirational journey, that will immerse you in the culture of the country, through which you can create a long term impact on local communities and go home with memories and experiences of a lifetime!

Where?

Our Volunteer programs are currently in India (Kerala, Kolkata, Dharamshala) & Maldives

Kerala is a region of South India that is still raw in terms of tourism, it retains rich culture and is evergreen with sunshine all year round. It’s famous backwaters, tea plantations and beaches have earned the State 13th place on the National Geographic list of places of Paradise on earth.

Known for having rich industries such as fisheries and spices, and the highest literacy rates in India, Kerala also has some of the highest rates of unemployment, domestic violence, and gender inequality. This has led us to start our:

English Teaching Program to help youth and adults to communicate outside of their communities, expand their employment opportunities and provide limitless benefits of cultural exchange.

Womens Empowerment programs to level the scale on equality through education.

Health Care programs working with youth and people of special needs help us to provide them with care, important self preservation information, help with school work and to give the special attention they’re currently missing.

Our Summer Volunteering and Group volunteering programs can make impact in short time, by helping on construction of  basic necessities such as toilets in rural villages or renovation in schools, including art projects for beautification to uplift communities and through their space.

Kolkata, the former capital of India is a metropolitan city rich in history and where the intellectual and revolutionary movements in India began. It is a melting pot of communities where there are huge slums in urban areas that formed as individuals from rural areas came to the city to look for work. Being uneducated and outside of their native community, sadly masses of people got trapped in a poverty cycle. Mother Theresa saw this and famously spent her lifetime serving the poor and destitute here.

In Kolkata we are trying to help communities in these slum areas with education, empowerment and construction projects. Here, where the situation for many youth is dire, any and all work offered by travelling volunteers creates substantial impact.

Dharamshala, North India, is home to the Dalai Lama and several thousand Tibetan refugees. With a backdrop of the mighty Himalayan Mountains, Dharamshala is surrounded by breathtaking misty highlands, rural mountain villages, tea plantations, and a Buddhist monastries making it a calm oasis compared to buzzing cities found in India. It is a dream for a nature lover and also for those seeking adventure as it offers trekking, paragliding, cycling and meditation and yoga. The programs we offer in this region cater to the Tibetan refugee as well Indians who are living in Dharamshala below poverty level. There is a great need for education programs for teaching children and also medical and health care programs. We are offering Medical Electives and Medical Placements in hospitals as well as Alternative Medicine Centers for students who want practical work experience.

Maldives, in the Indian sub-continent is made of up 1190 islands. Here you can experience authentic local island life at its best while supporting local community development projects.  Because of the remote location of the islands there is a lack of human resources to move forward with a variety of community initiatives. You will have an opportunity to assist local NGOs with enabling the local people to work effectively in promoting and advancing the interests of the rural communities to attain basic needs and to create a solid foundation for sustainable development. Your participation in this unique opportunity will assist with poverty alleviation in the community by promoting equity and equality.
