South West Walks Ireland was started in 1994 by Linda Woods.  The realisation of a dream – we want to show people “the real Ireland” the way it should be seen – slowly, intimately and knowledgeably.

Twenty years later, our terrific office personnel and great guides all share the same philosophy – “to take people into those hidden parts of Ireland that few know about and give people a real “taste and flavour” of Ireland the way we know it”.

Travelling with a group of friends? We can offer special, custom made holidays just for you. Many of you are asking for your own exclusive holiday and we have had some terrific experiences on offer. If a group of you want to come on a holiday specially designed for your own group, we will be happy to organise this for you. Guided or Self-Guiding, exclusively yours!

On a guided walk holiday your enjoyment is most important to us. With that in mind all your holiday plans are taken care of from when you arrive until you depart – giving you time to unwind and relax into the Irish “vibe”.

Our Self-Guiding Hike holidays are perfect for you if you are happy to guide yourself from place to place. We book all your accommodations for you, organise to have your luggage transported from house to house for you and give you detailed route notes and maps for each walking day.

Our bike holidays are ‘Go as you Please’ trips. Choose your holiday location from our range of options and we then plan your holiday details for you. Quality cycles await your arrival in Ireland, bed and breakfast accommodations are booked along your route and your luggage is transported for you.
