"We had booked a 4-day private tour through YET: Pyramids, boat trip on the Nile, White and Black Desert with overnight stay in a tent and Cairo with all its sights. From my first email inquiry I felt I was in good hands; Mona was always helpful in making all my adjustments to the tour tailored to us. We were warmly welcomed at the airport by Mr. Peter (and accompanied back there at the end of our trip). He was a great and valuable help with the visa and entry papers. The rest of the time we were accompanied by Mohammed, the driver (believe me, you need a driver in Cairo) and Menna, the Egyptologist. They were always friendly and courteous and kept surprising us with little things. We felt completely looked after and safe, no matter what we were doing, we always had someone to talk to and were therefore able to enjoy our time and relax. The information and insider tips we received were extensive and detailed. Our vacation was private and exclusive, we couldn't have imagined it any better. Thank you very much for the nice conversations and the courtesy, we would love to come back next time, it was simply fantastic. Egypt is a beautiful country with friendly people and YET is a thoroughly reputable travel agency that I can recommend to anyone without a second thought."

"We used gate 1 for the first time for our travels to Greece. We were very impressed with the ease of travel. We were picked up from the airport and met our guide Angela/Άντζελα. She was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and she went above and beyond to make the trip memorable. By far the best guide I've had on an international trip. Gate 1 handled all travel from city to city and we didn't have to worry about booking hotels or carrying luggage everywhere. Would definitely book another trip."

"I enrolled early in the French Art Voyage because of the caliber of the sites visited: no visit to the overly crowded Louvre but rather to Monet’s Giverny and Cezanne’s studio. A preliminary itinerary I just received has no mention of Giverny so I went online to be sure it was still open. It is. I checked Cezanne’s studio and found it closed for renovation. I called Road Scholar to ask why Giverny was canceled and did they mean Cezanne perhaps. A customer service rep was clueless. I spelled Giverny to her twice. She put me on hold for 15 minutes, returned and said someone would contact me. I told her to wait a minute. I had more. Was Cezanne’s studio to be canceled as well.? Five days later I get an email from Judith telling me Giverny was not officially on the itinerary, Cezanne’s studio had to be removed due to renovation and I could not see the Mona Lisa!!! I responded saying I sensed some bait and switch also reminding her I NEVER asked about the Mona Lisa. She replied telling me how to arrange Giverny for myself and reiterating that I could not see the Mona Lisa!!!! I have experienced ageism but not gaslighting like this. I am not an old fool who imagined Giverny on the itinerary. I am not an old fool insisting on a Mona Lisa that was not. Road Scholar has no business marketing to elders with staff like this."
