"Both the Sicily tour and the week in Malta were wonderful. The tour guide in Sicily who took us around Palermo and to Monreal was very knowledgeable, especially in the Cathedral.The guide who took us through the Greek temples was also super interesting and personable. The driver, Francesco, who took us to the Roman house spoke very good English and took time to point out a lot of things we would have missed otherwise. All of the hotels in Sicily were nice but the one in Agrigento was really special.I am glad we skipped the wine tasting the day of Mt. Etna and Taormina because we wouldn't have been able to see much of Taomina otherwise. Sicily is so big you can't see everything in a week but I think your tour does a great job of hitting the highlights. It was great. The tour in Malta was even better. Malta is a fascinating place but what made it really great was having Charmaine as our tour guide. She did a really exceptional job of explaining and showing her country to us. She is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun to be with. She really took care of us. I wish she could be my guide on every trip I take. I really like staying in Sliema for two nights and then two nights in Valletta to get two different perspectives of the city. The hotel in Gozo was delightful. I am telling everyone I know to go to Malta and get Charmaine as their tour guide"

"THE ABSOLUTE WORST. Dishonest, incompetent, fraudulent. We booked a trip to Europe with them, and it was a mess from start to finish. The flight that we paid extra for (it's worth the extra money for me to fly nonstop) was changed by the airline to include a stop, but Gate 1 wouldn't refund the extra amount they charged me for it. They also refused to call Delta about the flight change - even though Delta told me that all Gate 1 had to do was call to request the change back to a nonstop flight for me (at no extra charge). After I called Gate 1 out on this, they suddenly claimed that they HAD called Delta, but that they didn't know when and didn't know who they spoke with, and they couldn't call with me on the line. They also promised me a $450 credit to make up for the extra night of hotel I could not be used because of their incompetence, and said they would apply it to my account. However, they did not actually issue that credit. When I brought it up, they told me that since I'd made final payment prior to their issuance of the credit, they weren't going to give it to me anymore. Excuse me, but YOUR inability or failure to do what YOU promised to do is not my fault or my problem. This is further evidence of incompetence, dishonesty, and fraud. Gate 1 clearly does not care one bit about their customers or their reputation. Gate 1 should go out of business. I'm reporting them to the various state agencies for their dishonest business practices."

"Onze reis naar Zuid-Afrika met Swiss via Zwitserland werd geannuleerd. We stonden met onze 6 kinderen in Brussel en hoorden dat het vliegtuig niet zou vertrekken. We proberen nu al vanaf september een claim in te dienen bij Swiss, maar krijgen van Gate1 niet het originele boekingsbewijs van Swiss. Iets wat Swiss wel eist voor we kunnen claimen. We worden van het kastje naar de muur gestuurd. Ook is Gate1 al maanden telefonisch niet bereikbaar. Dus mijn advies: niet boeken via Gate1."
