"I have travelled with ROW numerous times, including four trips on the Rogue River. Every trip has been wonderful and every person associated with ROW has been nice, knowledgeable, professional and fun. The Rogue is a great river and the trip is an excellent one for two people or a large group—and I have done both. I’ve taken both of my kids, one time each, and have organized groups of colleagues twice; most recently in 2019 when 14 of us gathered. The guides at ROW are great and help to make the trip very enjoyable. The scenery, lodging and the wonderful outdoors including warm air and refreshing water, make for a wonderful escape from the everyday routine. The fact that this trip offers beds and indoor plumbing is a nice benefit and allows those who have an aversion to camping a chance to see the wilderness. "We booked a National Geographic expedition Holland and Belgium by River. The promotional literature promised a 14-day deposit refund window. The “invoice” was marked “non-refundable” deposit. We completed the National Geographic Traveler Information. About 8 days later we received the “Travel Agreement” to be signed. We both approved and signed the National Geographic documents. A Cruise Line Travel agreement was enclosed but had no signature line. This document contained language which was unacceptable. We submitted the signed NatGeo documents. The following day we canceled the trip due to the unacceptable Cruise Line language. Cancellation was made 12 days after booking and no deposit was returned. We were told on the phone that the refund deadline was triggered by the 14 day window OR signatures on the Travel Agreement which ever came first. This was NEW information. To date, we have received NO refund of our $1000. We cancelled our trip within the advertised 14 day window."

"To me Cheepers is a10 star company. I love traveling and birding with them. The birding is outstanding, the bird guides outstanding, and the birders themselves are such wonderful people to be with. I like the casual, comfortable, non-competitive approach to birding. While our guides have unfailingly worked (and intensely) to make sure everyone sees the bird, I've never felt as if I were among high intensity birders who are competing either with others or themselves. And I can't remember a single trip where anyone was unable to see the bird. The price of each trip is what really appeals to my "retired budget." I've yet to experience any kind of lodging that was substandard; every place I have been, we've stayed at good places close to where we can get to the birds we want to see. The leaders are never intrusive or over bearing, yet are constantly aware of each person and attentive to each person's needs. Birding is hard work, yes; but birding with Cheepers is so much fun. I could go on but to use a very overworked word, this company is just plain awesome. It is my company of choice for any birding trip."

"In planning for a safari trip, we learned of Adventure to Africa at a travel show in NYC. We knew the countries we wanted to visit and discussed the trip with several travel companies, large and small. Adventure to Africa listened to our objectives and budget and made proposal to meet them. Others gave us off the shelf options. Adventure to Africa recommended breaking up the safari camps with visits to Cape Town and Johannesburg in a way that made the trip much more enjoyable than we first intended. The Safari camps spanned a variety of ecological areas and a variety of bush camp operators. All of the activities suggested were ideal and reservations accurate and timely. This is the first time in our travels an adviser checked up during the trip to assure everything met our expectations, much less twice. We found the recommendations made were helpful and exhibited broad and deep experience. Restaurants suggested ran the gamut from fine dining to exotic to an excellent, if humble, fish house on a pier outside of Cape Town. The Cape wine tour was excellent and customized to our needs. We will recommend Adventure to Africa to anyone planning a trip to Africa."
