Day 2 Porto

Day 3 Lamego

 Porto ,  Lamego

Bid Porto goodbye as you make your way north to the Douro Valley. Along the way, stop in the countryside for a private cooking experience and learn about traditional meals while you enjoy lunch in a family home. After a post-lunch tour of the property, continue north to check in at the Six Senses Douro Valley, the luxury spa brand's first hotel in Europe.

Day 4 Lamego

 Douro Valley ,  Lamego

Spend a full day exploring the hills and vineyards of the Douro Valley and tasting wines at some of the region's best producers. This morning, depart the Douro Valley and make your way south to Sintra, where you'll have the day at leisure to either relax in your hotel or wander the town.

Day 6 Sintra

Day 7 Lisbon

Day 8 Lisbon

 Lisbon

Take the morning and afternoon to explore Lisbon on your own, revisiting some of the areas you visited yesterday or perhaps setting out to discover new areas such as Castello São Jorge. In the evening, embark on a cruise down the Tagus River where you'll enjoy light snacks and drinks while taking in the sunset.

Day 9 Monsaraz

 Lisbon ,  Monsaraz

Head east from Lisbon to Portugal's Alentejo region. Stop first in the capital of the region, Évora, which is known for its Roman ruins, Gothic cathedral and Moorish alleyways, before continuing on to a wine-tasting lunch just outside the city. After lunch, head to your hotel, São Lourenço do Barrocal, deep in the Alentejo countryside.

Day 10 Monsaraz

 Monsaraz

Spend a full day at leisure enjoying the many facilities that your hotel has to offer. You may want to borrow a bike to cycle through the hotel's sprawling property or indulge in some pampering at the Suzanne Kaufmann spa.

Day 11 Monsaraz

 Monsaraz

With another full day at leisure at the hotel, you can take advantage of some of the hotel's options you did not get to experience yesterday. Tour the hotel vineyards, culminating in a tasting, or go stargazing at night in the observatory.

Day 12 Return home

 Monsaraz ,  Lisbon

Bid a fond farewell to Portugal today as you journey from the Alentejo back to Lisbon to catch your flight home.
