Itinerary
We warm up with a ride along the Loire and Cher Rivers to the Château de Villandry and its incredible gardens. This evening, Loire Valley native Vincent Naudinet will host us for a wine tasting.
Our ride passes through charming hamlets with beautiful gardens to Azay le Rideau, where we meet with our local guide and historian to tour the village's Renaissance château.
We cycle along the banks of the Vienne River through the vineyards of Chinon—a beautiful medieval town filled with history (It was here where Joan of Arc met with Charles VII at the fortress!).
Embark on a ride to the gothic Abbey of Fontévraud, passing through the heart of the Anjou Touraine Natural Park and vistas that inspired the French novelist, Rabelais.
This morning's ride brings us to the Château de Chenonceau, the most romantic castle in the Loire Valley. After lunch, we cycle through an oak forest back to Amboise.
After breakfast, we will shuttle to the Saint Pierre des Corps train station for connections to Paris—both downtown and Charles de Gaulle Airport. Bon voyage!

Domaine De La Tortinière, Montbazon
We not only feel welcomed at the intimate Château La Tortinière, but very special when we’re there—especially since this immaculately restored 18thC castle seems straight out of a fairy tale. The château offers views over a private park in which some rare plants and trees (A 200 years old Lebanese Cedar for example) are hidden.
Château Du Rivau, Lemeré
Located in the heart of the Touraine region, this is a private home whose owners have graciously welcomed B&R as guests. Their 12-plus-year restoration campaign has returned the 15thC historical monument to its former glory, and its whimsical gardens complete the fairy-tale setting. By staying here, you join very illustrious company; Joan of Arc was a guest here in the 15thC.
Château De Verrières, Saumur
Peacefully set in a four acre park, Chateau Verrières is located in the midst of Saumur, close to the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, the troglodytes caves, the historical cities of Chinon, Angers and Tours and the many chateaux of the Loire Valley. A four star hotel, Verrieres provides a private mansion atmosphere with authentic decoration and period furniture.
If you have to cancel your B&R trip, you are entitled to the return of these amounts:

270+: 100% Refund of deposit
96-269: 50% Refund of deposit
61-95: 75% Refund of trip cost
31-60: 50% Refund of trip cost
0-30% : 100% Cancellation fee
Should you cancel your reservation more than 95 days in advance of the departure date, the entire US$1,000 per person deposit is transferable as a future trip credit to be used by the same traveller towards a B&R trip departing within 24 months of the original trip cancellation date. This credit cannot be extended beyond 24 months but may be transferred to another trip only once. Between 61-95 days prior to your original departure date, you may transfer to a different trip in the same calendar year upon payment of a fee of US$250 per person (this fee will be waived for Premier Cru & Grand Cru travellers). If you cancel this subsequent reservation, then the cancellation fees applicable shall be the higher of the cancellation fee on your original reservation or the cancellation fee on the trip to which you transferred. Within 60 days of departure, the regular cancellation fees will apply.
