Itinerary
Arrive in Porto and head to your comfortable accommodations. Take a moment to relax and unpack, then head out to explore the city. A good place to start would be Cordoaria Garden. Enjoy an evening walk then finish the day with a local Portuguese dinner.
It's your first full day on Porto vacation, so head out and explore the best of the city. Stroll around the riverside Cais da Ribeira, admire the Luís I Bridge, and marvel at cute pastel-colored houses.
Before going back to the hotel, try to get a ride on the Elevador da Ribeira, an industrial elevator providing scenic views of the area.
Visitors often rate the Douro Valley as the best thing to do in Porto, and there are many options when it comes to exploring the area. You can simply admire the stunning scenery or enjoy wine and food tasting tours.
If you'd rather stay in the city center, then consider walking around the lively Praça da Liberdade or taking a stroll along the Foz do Douro.
