What's this trip about?

This luxury trip has been designed to provide the best of Tanzania and to give you a complete Tanzanian experience with the comfort of top of the line intimate accommodations. The itinerary is also designed to put you in the best locations to view wildebeest migration in the famous Mara River area. The best time to see it is during the August-October time period. This is one of the most stunning wildlife spectacles anywhere. It is nature at its most raw. Finally we have also included a chance to explore the mystery and romance of Zanzibar from the highly sculpted Zanzibar doors to the hidden corners of Stonetown and then to one of Zanzibar’s pristine beautiful beaches and warm clear ocean waters.

Day 1:

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha, Infinite Safari Adventures representatives will meet you and take you to Rivertrees Country Inn, a wonderful converted old coffee farm a half hour from the airport. This beautiful resort was the former home of...

Day 2:

After a leisurely breakfast on the terrace, drive to Tarangire National Park four hours away and stay at Oliver’s Luxury Tented Camp. Once you stay here you will not want to leave. This camp has huge multi-room tents, en suite bathrooms and a dining tent set squarely ...

Day 3:

Spend another day at Oliver’s Camp exploring Tarangire. Have great wildlife sightings as they are attracted to the Tarangire River. It has the second highest density of elephants in Africa and possibly the best lion and leopard opportunities in Tanzania. You can even have the option of taking a walking safari and night drive while there.

Day 4:

Leave Tarangire and head up the Great African Rift Valley. Continue on up into the cloud forest of the Ngorongoro Highlands to stay at one of several luxury accommodations near the rim of the Crater. Along the way you can visit the Maasai village of Mto Wa Mbu. Here y...

Day 5:

Day 6:

Today you will say goodbye to your guide who you will feel has become like a family member and take a flight to the northern Serengeti. There are several luxury camps here all providing the perfect location to explore and see the Great Migration.

Day 7 & 8:

Continue to Explore the Serengeti for the next 2 days. You will be in a remote area that few people have the chance to explore. Your guide from your lodge has great knowledge of the area and will continue to enlighten you on wildlife and how everything fits together in the "circle of life."

Day 9:

Take a light aircraft and fly over the Serengeti to the historic island of Zanzibar. A taxi will take you the short drive into the heart of old Stonetown where you will stay at Kisiwa House, a converted merchant’s house, dripping with history and character. Spend the afternoon exploring the intrigues of Stonetown on a guided walking tour we will provide for you.

Day 10:

You will leave Stonetown and head up the coast for a few days at one of Zanzibar’s wonderful beaches. On the way we will arrange a spice tour for you. There are several accommodation options but the one we prefer is the elegant Unguja Lodge (FB). Comprised of special ...

Day 11:

Spend another day at Unguja Lodge (FB). You can swim, snorkel, take a sunset dhow cruise or just do nothing at all.

Day 12:

Spend another day at Unguja Lodge (FB). Take a final stroll along the beach and savor all that you have done, all that you have seen, the people you have met and the memories you have that will last a lifetime.

Day 13:

Today you will be transferred back to the airport at Stonetown for an internal flight to Dar Es Salaam and your international flight home.
