Itinerary
Landing in Hanoi, we’ll meet you at the airport and take you to your boutique hostel in the heart of the old town. Meet up with your travel crew and get excited for the adventures to come.
We’ll jump straight into the hustle and bustle of Hanoi today with a walking and rickshaw tour of the city. Soak in daily life in the chaotic capital and fill up on spicy spring rolls and tasty street food. This evening we’ll be heading out for dinner and drinks to see what Hanoi has to offer after dark.
From Hanoi we’ll travel to Ha Long Bay, where we’ll cruise the emerald green waters surrounded by limestone mountains, feeling like we’re not quite on this planet. The secret caves and coves will prove too much to resist, so we’ll jump into kayaks to explore further before settling down for the evening on our overnight boat complete with hot tub and bar.
Waking up to gorgeous Ha Long Bay shimmering in the sunshine, you’ll be glad to know you’ve got one more night in this watery paradise. We’ll continue our boat journey until we arrive at our very own private island, our home for the night.
The rice paddies and vast limestone mountains of Ninh Binh await us, where we’ll be staying at a local homestay in cute bungalows right by the river. We’ll take to two wheels to weave through the rice paddies before taking a local row boat through the network of rivers and caves. We’ll finish our time here with a sunset hike to the Dragon Mountain viewpoint.
Beautiful, historical Hoi An will win you over. We’ll check in to our hotel, then this afternoon you’ll have time to explore, go shopping, or perhaps visit a local tailor to get a custom suit or dress made. Local fishermen will be our guides today teaching us the art of crab fishing. We’ll then take part in a hands on cooking class to become masters of all things Vietnamese cuisine.
Taking to the skies, we’ll head south to the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh. The rest of the day will be yours to explore as you wish.
Today we’ll explore the incredibly lush green beauty of the Mekong Delta. See how locals live and work on the river, visit local villages, and stay tonight in a local homestay.
The Cu Chi Tunnels are on the agenda for today. This network of hand dug underground tunnels played a crucial role in the Vietnam War, providing supply routes, hideouts and living quarters for soldiers. Arriving back into Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon, we’ll be dressing sharp for our farewell dinner and party this evening.
Country hopping from Vietnam to Cambodia via bus, we’ll cross the border and arrive into Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital, in the early afternoon. We’ll then freshen up and head out for dinner.
Today will start with a tuk tuk tour through the colourful, busy streets of Phnom Penh. We’ll then pay a visit to two locations that played a pivotal role in Cambodia’s sad and troubled history - the S21 Prison, and the Killing Fields. The stories and history you’ll l...
Swapping city streets for laid back country roads, today we’ll travel to the peaceful countryside province of Kampot, our home for the next two nights. After settling in to our cosy traditional guesthouse nestled right by the river, this afternoon we’ll travel by kayak, weaving slowly down the river whilst soaking in the tranquil surroundings.
Fun fact - Kampot is famed for producing some of the best pepper in the world. We’ll be putting that theory to the test this morning as we visit a pepper plantation, then pop in to a local market to source fresh ingredients for our Cambodian cooking class. This aftern...
Never had Cambodia down as much of a beach destination? Just wait until you get to Koh Rong. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches in all the country, we’ll travel by bus and fast ferry to reach this paradisiacal island, where we’ll be checking in to tradition...
It’s all aboard a private long tail boat this morning as we head out to uncover some of the island’s best snorkel spots. Expect to find yourself chilling out on secluded beaches, or exploring the colourful underwater world as you swim with tropical fish. This evening’s sunset back at our beach bungalows will be the perfect end to another ridiculously awesome day together.
Waking up to one last morning in Koh Rong, we’ve got something special in store in the form of a traditional Khmer massage on the beach. We’ll then catch the ferry back to the mainland for dinner before boarding a deluxe overnight bus bound for Siem Reap. With fully reclining beds and air con, this is bus travelling in style.
Arrive in Siem Reap and enjoy a locally guided walking tour in the morning. From there we’ll venture out to the rural areas and discover some traditional floating villages surrounded by lush rice fields, lotus flowers and flooded forests.
Saving the best for last, today’s the day you’ll get to cast eyes on one of the 7 Ancient Wonders of the World. Built in the first half of the 12th century, Angkor Wat is one of the oldest and largest temples in the world. We’ll explore the site and learn the history ...
Your epic 21 day adventure comes to an end today. Those flying home will make their way to the airport, or keep living the dream and extend your stay in Cambodia or South East Asia with our help and the new friends you’ve made.
