Welcome to Peru and the start of your adventure! Make your own way to our joining hotel in Lima, where we have a welcome meeting at 6pm for you to meet your tour leader and fellow travellers. Cusco - Puno. Leaving Cusco, we journey through the highlands of Peru to Puno today. Set on the shores of Lake Titicaca, this town is a melting pot of Aymara and Quechuan Indian cultures, where you can still witness traditional Andean customs. This afternoon there's a boat trip on Lake Titicaca to visit the remarkable floating islands of Uros, which are made entirely from totora reeds.
