Itinerary

You take a late morning/early afternoon Eurostar service from London St. Pancras International to Lille (exact time will be indicated on travel documents), arriving approximately 1 hour 30 minutes later. A coach will then take you to your hotel in the heart of Bruges old town, transfer time approximately one hour.

Bruges chocolates are known throughout the world and so this morning you visit one of the few establishments which still makes chocolates by traditional methods. They are only made from the finest ingredients and during the demonstration you learn all about this delicious craft. A coach will later return you to nearby Lille to take an afternoon Eurostar service back to London St Pancras International.

Martins Brugge – Bruges
This three-star superior hotel is ideally located opposite the belfry in the heart of the historic centre, just behind the Market square itself. Having recently undergone a facelift to create a stylish and modern interior, the hotel has a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, it has a tranquil private garden and bar offering a host of local beers. Within easy reach of numerous restaurants, cafes and bars, everything is on the hotels doorstep.
Academie – Bruges
Family run and within the historic centre of Bruges, it is very close to the Minnewater (the famous lake of love) and the church of Our Lady, on one of the quieter side streets. It offers modern facilities and comfortable, stylish accommodation, relax in the cosy bar or if you prefer the pleasant courtyard garden which the hotel is built around. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and the Market Square is only a short walk away.
Golden Tree – Bruges
This small, family run hotel is next to the t’Zand, one of Bruges famous squares. Sympathetically converted from a neoclassical town house, and listed as a protected monument, it retains many of the original features, including a stunning ceiling fresco in the breakfast room and also a terrace and conservatory to relax in should you wish. There are many restaurants and bars near to the hotel itself and it’s just a short stroll past the cathedral, along the main shopping street, to the Market Square and belfry.
Grand Hotel Casselbergh – Bruges
This illustrious and luxurious hotel was created from three historic residencies, owned and inhabited for centuries by local aristocracy. Centrally located, round the corner from the Market square it combines elegant modern comfort with 18th century charm. Facilities include a bar and, and a wellness centre in the cellars which date back to the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries. This superb property rightly deserves its four-star rating.
