Day 1 London Tilbury At London Tilbury Port, embark Columbus (3T) in preparation for an afternoon sailing. Day 2 Amsterdam, The Netherlands Amsterdam, the Dutch capital popular for its art scene, picturesque appearance and relaxed atmosphere, is our port of call today. Wander the city centre characterised by beautiful tree-lined canals, pretty bridges and picturesque gabled houses and merchants’ mansions many of which have been renovated into trendy cafes. Scattered throughout the city are many galleries and museums, among the most popular are the Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank House and Rijksmuseum; each provide unmissable insights into Amsterdam’s past. The beautiful Royal Palace - originally built in the 17th century as a Town Hall - the Jordaan District and Dam Square are also worth visiting. Day 3 Hamburg, Germany This morning we arrive in Germany’s second largest city, Hamburg, a place of enticing history; becoming part of the Hanseatic League in the Middle Ages meant the city has remained a major international trading centre and is today considered one of Germany’s wealthiest cities. Its major port illustrates the city’s maritime heritage - which can be explored in the International Maritime Museum. Discover the fantastic wide variety of historic buildings including the State Opera House, the grand Town Hall and the Church of St Michael. Day 4 At sea Enjoy a relaxing day at sea as Columbus sails towards Belgium. Day 5 Antwerp, Belgium Arrive in the city of Antwerp renowned worldwide for its diamond trading district. Not only is it one of Europe’s largest ports but it is Belgium’s second largest city, with lovely medieval streets and renaissance buildings. Visit the diamond district, where over 80% of the world’s diamonds are considered to have passed through, or visit the remarkable Town Hall decorated with colourful European flags. Antwerp’s unforgettable attraction is the sky-scraping Cathedral of Our Lady, a spectacular Gothic-style Roman Catholic Cathedral completed in 1521. Day 6 London Tilbury Arrive at London Tilbury Port.
