Itinerary
Join us on this classic journey, departing from Rome to explore the beauty of southern Italy over two days. Day 1 We will begin our journey down the “highway of the sun”, passing through the famous Roman countryside, Castelli Romani. Our first stop is Naples (technical stop), a world-renowned city home to incredible views of the Mediterranean, Mount Vesuvius, and countless historic sites. After stopping for a traditional Italian lunch, we will make our way to the UNESCO archaeological site of Pompeii. We will spend the afternoon exploring this once thriving city that was frozen in time by layers of volcanic ash. After our tour of Pompeii, we will head down the “Costa Sorrentina” making our way to Sorrento where we will check into our hotel and have time to get ready for dinner. Please bring classy clothes as a wonderful formal dinner will follow at a venue with a dress code. After dinner, spend the rest of the evening at leisure, enjoying the city or relaxing in your hotel room. Day 2 After breakfast the next morning, in Summer only (from Apr.1st to Oct.31st),we will head to the famous Island of Capri. Weather permitting, we will have the opportunity to sail to the popular “Grotta Azzura” (Blue Grotto). This iconic natural wonder is a fantastic photo opportunity. The adventure doesn’t end there we continue our scenic drive to Anacapri, located 918 feet (280 meters) above sea level. We will be treated to lunch after which you will have free time to explore the beautiful city of Capri (Summer only). Then we will resume our trip through the Roman countryside, enjoying the scenery as we leisurely make our way back to Rome. Return to Rome around 9.00 pm at your leisure. Detailed Itinerary: Day One * 6:30am - Hotel Pick-ups begin * 7:00am - Meet at our Office, via Vittorio Emanuele Orlando 95 (nearest Metro Stop: Line A - Repubblica, if your Hotel is not listed). * 7:30am - Depart for Naples * Early Afternoon - Lunch * Mid Afternoon - Explore Pompeii * Evening - Leave for Sorrento to have dinner and stay the night Day Two: * Morning - Breakfast (Time will be specified on the tour) * Mid Morning - Leave for Capri (Summer Only) * Afternoon - Drive to Anacapri (Summer Only) * Mid Afternoon - Lunch then drive back to Rome
