Day 1: Delhi to Agra Travel to Agra to visit one of the world's most iconic buildings, the Taj Mahal, on this two-day tour from Delhi Your first stop in Agra is at Sikandra, the mausoleum of Akbar the Great. Up next is the spectacular Taj Mahal, a building which was built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a Mausoleum for his second wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died in childbirth in 1631. The Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum located on the southern bank of Yamuna River. The day is completed with a visit to the Agra Fort which is a treasure house of Mughal architecture. A symbol of power, strength and resilience. The overnight stay is in Agra where you get the chance to boost your batteries for splendid day two of the trip. Day 2: Agra to Fatehpur Sikri to Delhi After breakfast at the hotel, the trip starts with our chauffeur driving you to Fatehpur Sikri. The drive is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and upon arrival at Fatehpur Sikri, which is also famous as a magnificent fortified ghost city, you will have the opportunity to spend an hour there taking pictures and strolling around. Up next, a visit to Itmad-Ud-Daulah is on schedule. Itmad-Ud-Daulah is described as a "jewel box", sometimes called the "Baby Tāj", and is often regarded as a draft of the Taj Mahal. After lunch time, your driver will take you back to Delhi full of happy memories.
