Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Boston Welcome to Boston! The gateway to New England. Your journey begins in this historical, vibrant and energetic city. Transfer from the airport to your hotel in the heart of the city for a 2-night stay. Later, we get together for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. (D)  Day 2 - Boston Your day begins with an orientation tour of Boston: Boston Commons, Beacon Hill, the Old South Meeting House and more. Your tour will end at Fenway Park where legends of America’s ‘national pastime’ come alive. Here, you learn about the famous stadium and its residents – the Boston Red Sox. After, we head to Faneuil Hall with its colorful markets, local food vendors and artisans. The remainder of the day is at leisure to take in all Boston has to offer; wander Faneuil Hall or follow history along the Freedom Trail. (B)  Day 3 - Boston - The Berkshires This morning, you start the journey into the quintessential Berkshires and the town of Williamstown. En-route, you will visit the towns of Lexington & Concord – the turning point in the American Revolution – where you witness these historic sites. Then, travel on to the town of Stockbridge where you visit the Norman Rockwell Museum and have dinner at the historic (and famous) Red Lion Inn. After, you arrive at you the hotel for check-in. (B,D)  Day 4 - The Berkshires The Berkshires have drawn artists, poets, writers for years and there is good reason why. The serenity and beauty of the landscapes are the natural draw. Today, we head to Hancock Shaker Village for a deep, inside look at the Shaker lifestyle and heritage. Here, we enjoy lunch which is served in traditional Shaker fashion. After, the choice is yours. You can have the remainder of the day to unwind at your hotel and explore the area on your own or visit the Clark Art Institute for a private tour. This evening, gather with your fellow travelers for dinner. (B,L,D)  Day 5 - The Berkshires - Vermont All aboard! The Green Mountains National Forest is a sight to behold. Travel on the Green Mountain Flyer and be awed by the beauty of red, orange and yellow leaves glistening in the sun. Then, travel on to Woodstock where we check into our hotel for the evening. (B,L,D)  Day 6 - Vermont - New Hampshire This morning, you visit Billings Farm and museum to meet their Jersey cows and get a deep, inside look at farming methods that made New England famous. No trip to Vermont would be complete with out a visit to Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory. What a treat! Then, you continue to New Hampshire where the remainder of the day is at leisure. Feel free to tour this historic hotel and dinner on your own. (B)  Day 7 - White Mountains Today, you head to new ‘heights’ on the Mount Washington Cog Railway and climb through 3 climatic zones as you reach the top of New England! After, indulge in yourself in a maple syrup experience and tasting. Then, the remainder of the afternoon is at leisure before we get together for our farewell dinner. (B,L,D)  Day 8 - Depart Boston Today, after a morning of leisure, travel out of the White Mountains to Boston Logan International Airport for the journey home. (B)
