Davvi Arctic Lodge: Karesuando, Lapland
The Davvi Arctic Lodge is a charming, simple hotel set on a quiet, secluded hillside in the border-village of Karesuando. The beautiful restaurant, its circular design inspired by the shape of a Sami reindeer corral, is the hotel’s centrepiece and from here you can enjoy panoramic views over the snow-covered hillside to Swedish Lapland located just across the border.
Deep in the heart of True Lapland, and located on the offical Northern Lights route, Karesuando offers once-in-life-time Arctic experiences without the crowds. For those looking to stay in the Swedish side of the village we also offer Northern Light stays at the Arctic Star hotel.
Lomakyla
The attractive Lomkayla complex occupies a beautiful location, overlooking the river Narpistojoki, on the very edge of the village of Hetta. 20 minutes from the nearest amenities, here you will enjoy the peace and quiet of its secluded setting. The simply furnished accommodation, comprising of both rooms and cottages, on offer at the Lomakyla is ideally suited to those who want to feel close to nature. It also offers guests the option to stay in there own charming cabin – the only accommodation of its type that we offer in Hetta.
During the winter months the owner builds an exciting tobogganing slope and toboggans are available for your use. There is a small central dining room where meals are taken and Wi-Fi is provided free of charge throughout.
You, or any member of your party, may cancel your travel arrangements at any time. Written notification from the person who made the booking or your travel agent must be received at our offices. Since we incur costs in cancelling your travel arrangements, you will have to pay cancellation charges as follows:
