""Our journey with Firebird Tours to Japan was a remarkable experience that unfolded over 11 days. Initially unfamiliar with the company, we were fortunate to work with Alessandra Scola, who patiently guided us through the booking process. Looking back, choosing Firebird was undoubtedly the best decision we could have made. The tour's logistics were impeccably managed. At every stage of our trip, seamless transportation was provided - whether picking us up from airports, train stations, or transferring us to our hotels. Each day featured a dedicated personal guide who expertly navigated us through different locations and cities. Their digital infrastructure was equally impressive. The tour app was user-friendly and intuitive, making navigation and information access a breeze. More importantly, their customer support was exceptional and consistently attentive. Several instances highlighted their outstanding service: When our flight was delayed, they proactively sent a text message confirming they would still be waiting for us. "My wife and I did the six day Lofoten Islands tour offered by 50 Degrees North. The tour is simple, they provided us a rental car, accommodations for two nights each at three Rorbuer hotels scattered across the islands, and a couple of scheduled day tours. Most of the time, we were on our own to see the islands at our own pace. The islands are stunningly beautiful, and the tour planning made our travels hassle free. They even scheduled lunch for us at an organic goat farm, which may sound a little strange for a vacation like this, but that is only because you haven't tasted the cheese. (Best lunch ever!) At our request, they altered the tour slightly so that we could begin the tour in Svolvaer and end it six days later at the airport in Leknes. We can't imagine a more complete tour of the islands in six short days."

"My husband and I recently booked a holiday via Planet Rail and what a good call that turned out to be. We gave Guy and the team little time to arrange the holiday as it was a fairly last minute decision by us to travel. Planet Rail found the right balance between being very helpful and friendly but also remaining professional. The customer service offered is personal and you definitely feel that it’s important to Planet Rail that they get your holiday right - and for us they most certainly did. Our holiday exceeded our expectations, and I don’t mind admitting that I am not always easy to please. The travel arrangements went without a hitch; the hotels we stayed in were spot on. Locations - breathtakingly beautiful - attention to detail was second to none. It can sometimes be unwise to recommend something as one persons delight is another’s displeasure - but in this instance I fail to see how anyone would not be impressed by the service offered by Planet Rail - I would book with them again in a heartbeat."

"Eight tigers, 13 sloth bears, 2 packs of wild dogs, 4 sorts of deer, and fabulous birds. What more could we ask! But I have to say what really made it was meeting Nick. We felt really privileged. You don’t need me to tell you how fantastic he is – so knowledgeable, wildlife and nature exuding from every pore, brilliantly entertaining and is so personable. We tried to persuade him to become a presenter on the BBC to follow in David Attenborough’s footsteps. He would be superb!"

"We booked a National Geographic expedition Holland and Belgium by River. The promotional literature promised a 14-day deposit refund window. The “invoice” was marked “non-refundable” deposit. We completed the National Geographic Traveler Information. About 8 days later we received the “Travel Agreement” to be signed. We both approved and signed the National Geographic documents. A Cruise Line Travel agreement was enclosed but had no signature line. This document contained language which was unacceptable. We submitted the signed NatGeo documents. The following day we canceled the trip due to the unacceptable Cruise Line language. Cancellation was made 12 days after booking and no deposit was returned. We were told on the phone that the refund deadline was triggered by the 14 day window OR signatures on the Travel Agreement which ever came first. This was NEW information. To date, we have received NO refund of our $1000. We cancelled our trip within the advertised 14 day window."
