"I booked with Tours by Locals on Jan. 31, 2019. We were on a cruise out of New York City. We were due to arrive back to port in the morning and booked this to fill our day before we flew out in the evening. Two days before our tour I received an email that our guide was no longer available and they would try to find another. They didn't and cancelled our tour that had been booked for almost 9 months."

She embraced my 3 companions and myself with much care, protection, respect & love as senior women and affectionately referred to us as “Mama”, which gave rise to us truly adopting her as our Ghanian daughter and genuine blessings of being family. She was very kind and generous to ensure our needs where met at all times. She had an amazing and thorough knowledge of all the regions of Ghana, its different languages and cultures which provided us with much education, history and to experience the different people of Ghana in every aspect of life. There was never a concern or fear or doubt that we were truly in safe hands. Samwell, our soft spoken, warmhearted and expert driver was very meticulous in maneuvering some of the undesirable roads to give us the best comfort. I would sincerely and strongly recommend Continent Tours to anyone wishing to visit Ghana and especially for those that desire to learn their ancestry. "BEWARE! This company was terribly disorganized in trying to plan our trip to Morocco. They did not book our hotels properly and could not provide the trip they promised and we had paid for. They did not know our flight information, and could not provide any details a week out as to who would be guiding us on our tour, etc. When THEY offered to provide a full refund given their mistake, we cancelled our trip and have been trying to get our money back ever since. They have blocked our calls and do not answer our emails. They keep promising the check and it is more than 30 days since due. This check is not coming to us. They have tried to convince us not to contact the credit card company (in hopes that the we wait too long and the credit card can no longer win a dispute). DO NOT BOOK!!"

"My friend and I booked a 12-day/11-night trip to Cairo through Kemet vacations our representative Samy met us at the airport and guided us through customs and took us to our hotel in Cairo, Steigenberger, as was a very good Hotel for accommodation it was looking over the Egyptian museum, and every night we were walking around downtown for dinner and chill out m Samy usually was check with us about anything we need and check tour program day by day to give usually information do we shall need, it was a very good guy, thanks Samy Our guide Raouf was wonderful as I wrote an excellent review of him he was so nice gentleman was a most beautiful way of explaining the sights and the History, indeed he knows about his Country very well. Our cruise north on the Nile River on the Ms. Blue shadow was beautiful. It was a perfect cruise ship with a very friendly staff. In Aswan where we started our cruise, our guide engy met us at the airport and accompanied us up the Nile to Aswan. As an egyptologist and archeologist, she was a store of information. I know we could not see everything, but what we did see was awesome. Specially Abu Simple temple and the place at the end of Nasser Lake and the Nile it was so excellent experience and a totally great trip!!!!! Egypt is a must-do vacation."

"My husband and I booked with Expect in Africa for our honeymoon in Tanzania and had the most amazing experience! Lawrence put together an excellent itinerary for us over 17 days. We started in Stone Town, Zanzibar then flew over to the mainland where we went on safari in Tarangire National Park, Ngorogoro Crater, and the Serengeti, and we also got to see the wildebeest migration crossing the Mara River in the northern Serengeti. Our safari guide Joseph was amazing and so knowledgable about the areas we went and all the animals! We also did a day hike at Mount Kilimanjaro which was such a cool experience. After that, we went back to Zanzibar and stayed in Nungwi for some relaxation and also did a Zanzibar spice tour. We loved all of the lodges and hotels we stayed at, and everyone we met from Expect in Africa was so friendly. Every part of the trip was so great, and we made so many memories that we'll have for a lifetime. I would definitely recommend Expect in Africa to anyone going to Tanzania!"
