"A year ago my family and myself took a sailing trip to the Greek Islands. We hired a skipper named Reinhard Fallbacher (Ray) for the trip based on a recommendation from a respected and dear friend but also based on his reputation and experience as an Edelweiss Tours team member. Regretfully, although the trip itself was very good and under the most friendly and cordial environments, this man was not accountable for the cash advances we made for the trip. Firstly, he never gave us an account (of any kind) of the trip’s expenses in terms of our deposit, as agreed upon. Secondly, he never returned the money that we were owed from our deposit (upwards of 1,500-2,000 euros). Thirdly, and perhaps worse of all, despite our many friendly and amicable attempts of sorting this matter out through email, WhatsApp texts and even phone calls, Ray has avoided for more than a year. I sincerely wish I wouldn’t have to involve Edelweiss Tours in this situation but I thought, both the company and fellow adventure seekers like myself, should be aware of this person’s behavior. I believe the tourism industry is based on trust and reputation and I felt compelled to convey this situation to others. "I have just completed Guided Iceland Circle with driver/guide Bergsteinn. The tour was interesting and well paced. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Bergsteinn did a good job of providing interesting information, but not too much commentary. Completing the Ring Road is a great way of seeing the different facets of Iceland as each region is quite different. I would definitely travel with GJ Travel again."

"In September 2018 I departed on an adventure of a lifetime, to photograph Greenland’s Scoresby Sound with Iceland Photo Tours. This 8 day tour fulfilled every expectation I had, a comfortable classic vessel to navigate the Iceberg rich waterways, deliver us to sensational land locations to explore on foot areas that truly take your breath away. Our crew on the Donna Wood couldn’t have been more helpful in getting us to the right location at the right time to capture the best image that was possible. Catering was superb from the ships galley and I am positive we all went home a few pounds heavier. A very special thanks to our tour guide Kathleen Croft for without her hard work and dedication ensuring that every individual on the tour had a full understanding of their equipment made our trip very enjoyable, she virtually guaranteed that all on the tour would go home with images that will be shown and spoken about for many years to come. On our tour the partisans’ had varied skills and experience with photography, from never have picked up camera before to competent photographs, so if you are contemplating a trip with Iceland Photo Tours you could not go wrong in having Kathleen as your tour guide. ""The planning went smoothly. The travel company did an excellent job listening to our requests while recommending and developing a great itinerary and finding great accomodations, guides, and transportation (even being patient with us as we revised and tweaked our plans). Email communications were responsive. But best of all, the USA telephone number allowed us to speak directly to discuss complicated details when email wouldn't be practical. Regarding our itinerary, when we selected the travel company, we had several specific requests, but were open to suggestions. The travel company provided excellent suggestions that took the trip beyond our expectations. Best part of the trip: Christmas morning, took a horse drawn sleigh ride through an idyllic section of Lauenen Valley. The sun was out, skies were clear, air was crisp, fresh snow had fallen the night before, sleigh bells rang in rythem as the horses trotted, and we were snuggles in blankets. How great was that?!! Along the way, we stopped at a 300-year old rustic cottage where we had the best ever cheese fondue with wine that has been served there by generations.""
