Itinerary
Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to San Jose.
Upon arrival in Costa Rica's capital city San Jose you will be met at the airport by an English-speaking guide and transferred privately to your hotel.
You will be collected from your San Jose hotel early this morning on a shared minibus transfer organised by the lodge and head east through the lush Turrialba Valley, stopping off for breakfast en route. For adventurous spirits, there is the option to spend the last h...
Day at leisure. Choose from a variety of activities available at the Pacuare Lodge (payable locally) - you could trek to a remote Cabecar Indian Community, try a canopy tour or follow the on-site forest trail to a small waterfall or simply enjoy a day of rest and relaxation.
Enjoy an exhilarating white water raft ride out of the Pacuare Lodge, exploring side streams which lead to beautiful waterfalls. You'll then travel by road in a private vehicle to the Arenal Volcano region.
Today try out an exciting canopy zip lining tour through the rainforest in Arenal: a fun way to admire the scenery as you fly through the treetops. On a clear day you will get a great view of the Arenal Volcano!
Enjoy some free time today or speak to your specialist about arranging further activities around Arenal - you could go kayaking on the lake, visit the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge, or take a relaxing soak in the hot springs.
Today you'll be transferred privately down Manuel Antonio on the Central Pacific Coast, where the jungle meets the beach. The scenic and comfortable drive, which takes around five hours, runs for a while along the famous Pan-American Highway and through some jaw-dropping scenery!
Spend a morning or afternoon today on a half day kayaking and snorkelling excursion exploring Manuel Antonio's beautiful coastline. The rest of the day is at leisure to admire the views from your hotel pool.
At leisure in Manuel Antonio - if you find yourselves getting restless, the National Park is well worth a visit, or you could arrange a catamaran cruise.
Take the long but scenic journey to the Osa Peninsula - on Costa Rica's rugged southwestern coastline - where you'll be staying in a lovely wildlife rich rainforest hideaway.
With 60 hectares of private forest and direct access to the beach there is plenty to keep you occupied with at El Remanso. The hotel can arrange guided walks, bird-watching, horse rides, surfing lessons or even sea kayaking or waterfall rappelling for the more adventurous.
At leisure at El Remanso. You might like to go for a hike in the rainforest or go horse-riding today.
Take a wonderful, scenic 40 minute light-aircraft flight up back to the capital in time to connect to your international flight home.
Arrive home today to complete your journey.
