Itinerary
Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Quito. You'll be welcomed at the airport in Quito and transferred to La Casona de la Ronda, in the heart of the historic city. You have the afternoon to settle-in and explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Today you'll have a private guided tour to the market town of Otavalo, visiting a number of small towns famous for their handmade artisan goods.
This morning you'll be transferred to the airport in time for your flight to the Galapagos. On arrival in San Cristobal you'll be met by a member of Eric/Letty cruise boat, who will escort you to the pier for embarkation. After lunch and settling-in you'll have your first excursion, visiting the Galapaguera, a national park breeding program for the giant tortoise.
In the morning you'll visit Prince Philip's Steps on Genovesa Island, home to the elusive red-footed boobies. After lunch you'll explore Darwin Bay, where you can relax on the beach or optional snorkel in the clear waters.
Today's attractions include stops in Black Turtle Cove for a panga (dinghy) ride through the coves and mangroves, as well as a hike at Dragon Hill for stunning views of the island and wildlife.
The first stop today is Punta Espinoza on Fernandina Island, home to one of the largest marine iguana colonies in the Galapagos. In the afternoon you'll visit Urbina Bay on Isabela Island, where a 1954 eruption caused unique coral formations which are now home to numerous animal species.
Today you'll enjoy two of the more remote areas of Isabela Island: Elizabeth Bay and Tagus Cove. You'll enjoy a boat ride, spotting bird and seal life before an optional afternoon snorkeling or kayak trip in the secluded cove.
In the morning you'll walk along Puerto Egas shoreline, spotting octopus and starfish in the shallow tidal pools. The afternoon gives you the opportunity to snorkel with sea lions, white-tipped reef sharks and rays at Rabida Island.
The last full day takes you ashore in Santa Cruz for a highlands tour and a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Center, where you'll get a chance to see one of the Galapagos' most famous residents, the giant tortoise.
You'll visit San Cristobal's Interpretation Center in the morning before your transfer to the airport to begin your trip home.
Arrive home today to complete your journey.
