Itinerary
We set forth from the farming village of Savigny and get familiar with our e-bikes before lunch in a quaint winemaking village. Stop in one of the famous villages such as Epesses or St-Saphorin before dinner tonight at a gastronomic restaurant near our hotel.
Today, our ride will take us from lakeside views through a nature reserve and along the Rhone river to the beautiful town of Aigle and then back to the magnificent castle of Chillon. From there we will gaze at the Swiss Riviera as we make our way back to Vevey by steamboat.
Heading into the Highlands to the famous town of Gruyères (like the cheese), we’ll sample the region’s delicious fare. Stop in at an alpine house in Château-d'Oex, that our hostess Anne elegantly has transformed into a "buvette d'alpage" (a mountain pasture cafe). The stunning panorama will make us forget about the climb to get there.
Climb famous Alpine pass, the Col du Pillon (good thing we’re on e-bikes!), from which we’ll take a gondola ride to the top of the Tsanfleuron Glacier, affording a stunning view of the Alps. We’ll descend the mountains in time to explore Gstaad, try a longer ride to Lauenen Lake, visit a cheese cellar or enjoy the hotel’s spa.
For our last day together, we journey to the verdant pastures of the Emmental: a patchwork of farms and winding little routes. After a cozy lunch – which just might involve the region’s famed Swiss cheese – head into Bern to wander its charming pedestrian centre.
After breakfast, we’ll arrange a taxi at your leisure to the Bern train station. It is time to say au revoir et bon voyage!

Accommodation
Le Grand Large, Dolus Ile D’oléron
Built in 1965, the hotel Le Grand Large has found its place in a natural way in the middle of the dunes and the beach of La Remigeasse. With Le Corbusier’s style and its exposure to the west, it’s a very luminous and comfortable place to relax. The hotel associates comfort with high-quality, designer furniture and a soft and chic atmosphere.
Hotel Le Toiras, St Martin De Ré
The Hôtel de Toiras is exceptionally well located at the entrance to the port of Saint Martin de Ré, the historical capital of the Île de Ré. The façades, typical of the old Île de Ré residences subjected to the forces of the Atlantic Ocean for nearly four centuries, make the hotel an integral part of the activities and life of this harbour town, endowing it with great natural charm.
