Deposit

In order to reconfirm a reservation we request to receive an initial nonrefundable deposit, which is calculated as 20% of the total cost of the trip.

Payment

For Galapagos tours we require full payment 60 days prior to the date that services are scheduled to begin.

For Continental Ecuador tours we require full payment 30 days prior to the date that services are scheduled to begin.

For last-minute reservations made fewer than 30 days prior to departure, we require full payment upon reservation.

Special policies may apply specific bookings during high season. We will issue a final invoice when all services are confirmed (for third party suppliers,

payment will be requested according to operator polices).

All payments must be made by credit card, US bank transfer, international wire transfer, PayPal, or as previously arranged.

Pricing

In general, our listed rates for fixed departure dates are the lowest rates available for any trip. For non-fixed departures, the price paid per person will vary depending on the number of participants. Neotropic staff, guides or Tour Leaders are not included in the pricing count.

Single Supplements

All pricing is based on double accommodation. Participants who desire single accommodation should request this arrangement in advance. If single accommodation is available, participants will pay a single supplement, which varies by hotel and room.

The total tour cost includes the tour price (regular or promotional) and the compulsory local payment. The promotional price is subject to change. Check directly with the operator for the latest price offer. The tour operator requires you to pay only the tour price to purchase your travel. The compulsory local payment will be paid when you join the trip. All prices are based on double, twin or triple share occupancy. Solo passengers will be accommodated in a double, twin or triple room according to availability with a passenger(s) of the same gender. Single supplement only needs to be paid if the passenger does not want to share and requests their own room. Discounts can only be applied at the time of booking and cannot be added at a later date, regardless of any changes made to the original booking.

Cancellation policy

The 20% deposit is not refundable.

All reservations cancelled fewer than 30 days prior to departure for mainland tours or 60 days prior to departure for Galapagos tours (computed by date of receipt of written cancellation notice) are subject to the following schedule of fees:

For mainland tours, if cancellation is received:

29 to 20 days prior to departure, 30% of the full price will be forfeited

19 to 10 days prior to departure, 50% of the full price will be forfeited

9 to 5 days prior to departure, 75% of the full price will be forfeited

4 days or fewer prior to departure, full payment will be forfeited

In addition, reservations cancelled 60 to 30 days prior to departure for mainland tours or  90 to 60 days prior to departure for Galapagos tours are subject to a $50.00 handling fee per person. Should an individual group member cancel, he/she should be replaced by another individual in order to avoid the cancellation fee.

Cancelled Trips

Ecoadventure, legal representation for Neotropic Travel Group, reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for any reason whatsoever. The refund of all payments received shall release Ecoadventure from any further liability. Ecoadventure is not responsible for expenses incurred by trip members in preparing for a cancelled trip (e.g., air tickets, visa fees, inoculations, equipment, etc.).
