The species-rich wetland is under nature protection and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. Since then, the area has become a flagship for Brazilian ecotourism. For nature lovers, a Brazil trip to the Pantanal is inevitable. Northern Pantanal is famous for the jaguar. Is one of the last places in the whole world where you can observe the jaguar. The probability of seeing this predatory cat, which weighs up to 150 kg, in the wild is particularly high in the dry season (June-Nov).
